Alpine has introduced the A110 R Ultime, the most extreme and high-performance version of its iconic two-seater sports car. This limited-edition model serves as the grand finale for the A110 lineup, pushing its capabilities to new heights.

The A110 R Ultime has been confirmed to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife approximately 20 seconds faster than the standard A110 R, achieving an estimated lap time of 7 minutes and 15 seconds. This places it ahead of high-performance models such as the BMW M4 CSL and Porsche 911 Turbo S (991), and just a few seconds behind the Mercedes-AMG GT R and Porsche Carrera GT.

Alpine has leveraged its GT4 racing experience to refine the Ultime, positioning it as a direct competitor to the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS. Extensive weight-saving measures, including carbon-fibre body panels, are expected to keep the car’s kerb weight under 1,100kg.

In terms of aerodynamics, the Ultime features the same carbon-fibre components as the A110 R but incorporates additional enhancements, such as front canards. These modifications generate an additional 160kg of downforce at its top speed of 285km/h.

The chassis has been further optimised with Ohlins adjustable dampers, replacing the standard R’s ZF units. The braking system has been upgraded with AP Racing discs and high-performance brake pads, improving stopping power. Additionally, the cooling system for the brakes has been refined for enhanced performance. The car rides on staggered forged wheels—18-inch at the front and 19-inch at the rear—fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres as standard.

The A110 R Ultime is available in two versions. The standard model starts at €265,000 (approximately RM1.32 million) in France, while an exclusive “La Bleue” edition, featuring a two-tone paint job inspired by Peugeot Sport, is limited to just 15 units and priced at €330,000 (around RM1.64 million). These high price points are influenced by France’s stringent emissions regulations, which impose significant taxes on high-performance vehicles with elevated CO2 emissions.

Customisation options are extensive, with Alpine offering 27 exterior colour choices, along with four Alcantara interior upholstery options. Additionally, customers can personalise the carbon-fibre bonnet and various aerodynamic components.
