According to Jaecoo Malaysia Vice President Emily Lek, the J7 PHEV is strategically positioned as a viable alternative between the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and fully Electric Vehicle (EV) segments. “We believe the Jaecoo J7 PHEV perfectly aligns with market demand by offering the best of both worlds through its advanced Super Hybrid System (SHS). As Malaysia’s EV ecosystem continues to evolve, we are committed to providing consumers with a seamless transition to hybrid mobility,” she stated.
Lek also highlighted Jaecoo’s preparedness in after-sales service, ensuring a robust support network for PHEV owners. “Beyond delivering a premium SUV, our Jaecoo network is fully equipped to support PHEV customers, ensuring longevity and satisfaction throughout their ownership journey.”
The Jaecoo J7 PHEV stands out for its enhanced engine performance, surpassing conventional ICE and fully electric vehicles in efficiency and endurance. Equipped with Jaecoo’s proprietary Super Hybrid System technology, the J7 PHEV offers a class-leading pure electric range of 106 km (NEDC range) and the lowest fuel consumption in its category at 5.99 litres per 100 km in a power-depleted state.
To further demonstrate its capabilities, the J7 PHEV recently underwent a long-distance endurance test from Singapore to Hat Yai, Thailand. During the trial, the vehicle recorded an impressive WLTP range of over 1,200 km on a single charge, showcasing its extended travel capabilities.
With the hybrid segment gaining traction in Malaysia, Jaecoo aims to position the J7 PHEV as a key player, offering consumers a premium, fuel-efficient alternative with cutting-edge hybrid technology.
