The Proton e.MAS 5, positioned as the most accessible electric vehicle in the country, is the second model in the e.MAS line-up. Building on the success of the Proton e.MAS 7 — currently the best-selling EV in Malaysia — the new model is aimed at urban youth, families, and first-time EV owners, and is designed to integrate seamlessly into the daily lives of a broad demographic.

Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET, explained that this nationwide initiative is rooted in engagement and experience. He said Proton is confident that allowing the public to interact directly with the e.MAS 5, supported by insights from product experts and local influencers, will foster trust and enthusiasm ahead of the car’s commercial debut. He further noted that the tour was crafted to connect with Malaysians at a grassroots level, bringing the future of mobility to familiar environments and vibrant community spaces.

The tour has been carefully curated to reflect the practical value of the Proton e.MAS 5 in real-world scenarios. Visitors will experience the car through static displays, guided walkarounds, and interactive sessions at selected tourist attractions and e.MAS dealerships. With stops covering central, northern, southern, eastern, and East Malaysian regions, the campaign is expected to draw large crowds keen to explore the EV’s technology, design, and convenience features.

Beyond being a product showcase, the MISI 5 Tour highlights how the Proton e.MAS 5 complements everyday routines. Whether navigating congested city streets, managing family errands, or enjoying weekend leisure, the EV promises to meet these demands with features such as intelligent charge planning, rapid charging to 80% in less than a typical lunch break, pre-cooling functions, and adaptable cabin space. The model has been engineered with practicality in mind, offering generous storage and responsive handling, while prioritising user-friendly digital tools and safety.

To deepen public engagement, Proton has partnered with a cast of lifestyle influencers who will interpret the e.MAS 5’s role in various daily settings through creative, regionally inspired content. In the central region, fashion personality Karl Shafek will repurpose the vehicle into a mobile makeup studio during Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week.

Johan Eskandar will take viewers on a cultural exploration of southern heritage sites, while northern foodie Soyabelacan will turn the e.MAS 5’s front trunk into a makeshift kitchen to prepare regional cuisine. In the East Coast, muralist Zameer Pentbrush will transform the vehicle into a rolling art piece, and in East Malaysia, content creator Ain Ramli will use the e.MAS 5’s technology to host a record-breaking haunted livestream.
