BMW 218 GC M Sport menggantikan BMW 218 GC Sport yang diperkenalkan pada Jun 2025, dan terhad kepada hanya 50 unit untuk peruntukan pertama. Varian baharu ini diperkenalkan di BMW Clubhouse, yang dibuka kepada orang ramai dari 17 hingga 19 Julai 2026 di Factory 19 PJ.

Berbanding 218 Gran Coupe Sport, varian M Sport baharu ini menambah beberapa naik taraf dari segi gaya, casis, kabin dan sistem bantuan pemandu. Penambahan utama ialah Adaptive M Suspension, yang menurut BMW membolehkan kereta ini mengimbangi pengendalian lebih tajam dengan keselesaan tunggangan yang lebih terkawal merentasi pelbagai permukaan jalan.

BMW 218 Gran Coupe M Sport dikuasakan oleh enjin petrol 1.5-litre turbocharged tiga silinder yang sama seperti 218 Gran Coupe Sport. Enjin ini menghasilkan 156 hp dan 230 Nm tork, dipadankan dengan transmisi 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch.

Untuk varian M Sport, transmisi tersebut kini dilengkapi paddle shifters. Kuasa dihantar ke roda hadapan, dengan pecutan 0-100 km/j selesai dalam 8.6 saat dan kelajuan maksimum dinilai pada 230 km/j.

Di bahagian luar, 218 Gran Coupe M Sport mendapat BMW Kidney Iconic Glow grille dengan palang kidney menegak dan menyerong, lampu hadapan adaptive LED serta lampu nyalaan siang menegak yang membentuk grafik pencahayaan “four-eyed” BMW.

Pakej M Sport turut membawakan Individual High-Gloss Shadowline trim dengan extended content, rim aloi ringan M 18 inci Y-spoke Style 975M Bicolour, cermin sisi high-gloss black, Exterior Line Satin Aluminium trim dan diffuser belakang M Sport.

Di bahagian belakang, lampu LED menegak menekankan kelebaran kereta, manakala Hofmeister kink turut menampilkan emboss nombor “2”, menandakan kedudukannya dalam keluarga 2 Series Gran Coupe. Kereta ini berukuran 4.55 meter panjang, dengan jarak roda yang sama seperti sebelum ini.

Di dalam, kabin M Sport menerima BMW Live Cockpit Professional, BMW Operating System 9, stereng kulit M, M anthracite headliner, kemasan dalaman “Illuminated” Aluminium Graphite dan paparan head-up.

BMW Curved Display menggabungkan paparan instrumen 10.25 inci dengan skrin kawalan 10.7 inci, manakala QuickSelect memudahkan akses kepada fungsi kenderaan melalui skrin sentuh dan arahan suara.

Ciri kabin lain termasuk ambient lighting yang diintegrasikan pada panel instrumen, jalur kemasan aluminium bercahaya dengan warna M, konsol tengah baharu dengan pemegang cawan dan pengecas tanpa wayar, serta upholsteri Veganza perforated.

Tempat duduk sport hadapan untuk pemandu dan penumpang depan hadir dengan pelarasan elektrik dan fungsi memori, manakala ruang but dinilai pada 430 liter. BMW turut melengkapkan model ini dengan sistem bunyi Harman Kardon HiFi 12 pembesar suara dengan output 205 watt.

Sistem bantuan pemandu juga telah dinaik taraf. BMW 218 Gran Coupe M Sport menerima Driving Assistant Plus, yang menambah Active Cruise Control dengan fungsi Stop & Go serta Steering and Lane Control Assistant.

Ini datang bersama ciri seperti Lane Change Warning dengan intervensi stereng aktif, front collision warning dengan Emergency Braking Function, amaran pejalan kaki, Exit Warning, Rear Crossing and Collision Traffic Warning dengan intervensi brek, Speed Limit Info dan Manual Speed Limit Assist.

Parking Assistant Plus turut disertakan, menambah Park Assist Professional dengan line and kerb detection, Active Park Distance Control dengan pedestrian detection ketika mengundur, Surround View, Front Panorama View, Remote 3D View, BMW Drive Recorder dan Anti-theft Recorder.

Ciri digital pula merangkumi BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant dengan integrasi Amazon Alexa, BMW Digital Premium, Personal eSIM, BMW Remote Software Upgrades dan BMW Digital Key Plus, yang membolehkan telefon pintar serasi digunakan sebagai kunci kenderaan.

BMW 218 Gran Coupe M Sport ditawarkan dalam pilihan warna Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey dan Portimao Blue. Upholsteri Veganza perforated dalam warna Black ditawarkan untuk semua warna luaran, manakala upholsteri Coral Red hanya tersedia bersama warna luaran Black Sapphire.

Dengan BSRI, BMW 218 Gran Coupe M Sport hadir dengan waranti tanpa had perbatuan selama empat tahun dan liputan servis selama empat tahun atau 80,000 km. Ia juga disertakan dengan BMW Roadside Assistance, yang menawarkan sokongan kecemasan 24/7 termasuk tunda, courtesy car dan penginapan hotel dalam situasi tertentu.

The BMW 218 GC M Sport succeeds the BMW 218 GC Sport, which was introduced in June 2025, and is limited to just 50 units in its first allocation. The new variant was introduced at the BMW Clubhouse, which opens to the public from 17 to 19 July 2026 at Factory 19 PJ.

Compared to the 218 Gran Coupe Sport, the new M Sport variant adds a more focused set of styling, chassis, cabin and driver assistance upgrades. The headline addition is Adaptive M Suspension, which BMW says allows the car to balance sharper handling with composed ride comfort across different road surfaces.

The 218 Gran Coupe M Sport is powered by the same 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine as the 218 Gran Coupe Sport. The engine produces 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque, and is paired with a 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission.

For the M Sport, the transmission is now equipped with paddle shifters. Power is sent to the front wheels, with 0-100 km/h completed in 8.6 seconds and top speed rated at 230 km/h.

On the outside, the 218 Gran Coupe M Sport gets the BMW Kidney Iconic Glow grille with vertical and diagonal kidney bars, adaptive LED headlights and vertical daytime running lights that create BMW’s four-eyed lighting signature.

The M Sport package also brings Individual High-Gloss Shadowline trim with extended content, 18-inch M light alloy wheels in Y-spoke Style 975M Bicolour, high-gloss black exterior mirrors, Exterior Line Satin Aluminium trim and an M Sport rear diffuser.

At the rear, vertical LED taillights emphasise the car’s width, while the Hofmeister kink is embossed with the number “2”, marking its place within the 2 Series Gran Coupe line-up. The car measures 4.55 metres long, with the same wheelbase as before.

Inside, the M Sport cabin adds BMW Live Cockpit Professional, BMW Operating System 9, an M leather steering wheel, M anthracite headliner, “Illuminated” Aluminium Graphite interior trim and a head-up display.

The BMW Curved Display combines a 10.25-inch instrument cluster with a 10.7-inch control display, while QuickSelect allows easier access to vehicle functions through the touchscreen and voice commands.

Other cabin features include ambient lighting integrated into the instrument panel, backlit aluminium trim strips with M colours, a redesigned centre console with cup holders and a wireless charging tray, and Veganza perforated upholstery.

The front sport seats come with electric adjustment and memory function, while luggage capacity is rated at 430 litres. BMW has also fitted a 12-speaker, 205-watt Harman Kardon HiFi loudspeaker system.

Driver assistance has also been upgraded. The 218 Gran Coupe M Sport gets Driving Assistant Plus, which adds Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Steering and Lane Control Assistant.

This is on top of Lane Change Warning with active steering intervention, front collision warning with Emergency Braking Function, pedestrian warning, Exit Warning, Rear Crossing and Collision Traffic Warning with brake intervention, Speed Limit Info and Manual Speed Limit Assist.

Parking Assistant Plus is also included, adding Park Assist Professional with line and kerb detection, Active Park Distance Control with pedestrian detection when reversing, Surround View, Front Panorama View, Remote 3D View, BMW Drive Recorder and Anti-theft Recorder.

Digital features include BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant with Amazon Alexa integration, BMW Digital Premium, Personal eSIM, BMW Remote Software Upgrades and BMW Digital Key Plus, which allows compatible smartphones to be used as the vehicle key.

The BMW 218 Gran Coupe M Sport is available in Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey and Portimao Blue. Veganza perforated upholstery in Black is offered for all exterior colours, while Coral Red upholstery is available exclusively with the Black Sapphire exterior.

With BSRI, the BMW 218 Gran Coupe M Sport gets a four-year unlimited mileage warranty and four years or 80,000 km of service coverage. It also comes with BMW Roadside Assistance, which provides 24/7 emergency support including towing, courtesy cars and hotel accommodation in selected situations.
