The Renault R17 retains the essence of the original Renault 17 hatchback (sold between 1971 and 1979) while modernizing its appearance with a carbon fibre body and sleek proportions. Key features include:

• Rectangular LED headlights integrated into the front fascia.
• A minimalist, full-width LED taillight bar that complements the car’s simple, elegant lines.

• Flared fenders for a sportier stance than the original, giving the car a more aggressive look.
• Subtle louvers that add a touch of flair and homage to its vintage roots.

Interior Design

Ora Ïto has captured the feel of the 1970s in the interior with a contemporary twist, using materials and fabrics reminiscent of the era. The interior hides modern technology in retro-inspired design elements:

• Four rectangular displays behind a rectangular steering wheel.
• A central horizontal display placed below the dash, similar to an old-school radio, adding to the retro vibe while delivering modern functionality.

Electric Powertrain

Despite its retro appearance, the Renault R17 is fully electric, featuring a 270hp electric motor. It boasts a range of 400km on a single charge, aligning with modern EV expectations.

One-Off Concept

Unfortunately for enthusiasts, Renault has no plans to mass-produce the R17. This restomod will remain a one-off concept, set to be showcased at various events, including the 2024 Paris Motor Show in October. Though it won’t be hitting the roads, the Renault R17 beautifully illustrates how automakers can blend vintage inspiration with modern electric technology.

Powered by a 2.0-litre TwinPower turbo engine producing 204hp and 300Nm of torque, the Mini Cooper S accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.6 seconds. Its suspension and damping system are tuned for agile handling, ensuring a dynamic ride on any road.

There are four vehicle trims available for the Mini Cooper S, with the Classic Trim offering additional body colours and contrasting roof finishes. The Ocean Wave Green colour enhances the minimalist design, while the contrasting white roof and mirror caps add to its presence.

The interior of the Classic Trim features black-blue surfaces made of two-tone knitted material, complemented by high-quality Vescin seats in grey or black. The perforated houndstooth pattern and blue accent stitching add to the stylish design of the interior.

Despite its compact exterior dimensions, the Mini Cooper S offers maximum driving fun, with increased track width for optimised driving dynamics. Various driver assistance systems, such as Safe Exit, Active Cruise Control, and Parking Assistant, enhance safety and comfort. Additionally, the Mini Interaction Unit features the brand’s first full-fledged voice assistant, making operation even more convenient while on the go.

Although technical details such as drive configuration and battery specifications remain under wraps, the electric 600e promises to deliver thrills with a mechanical limited-slip differential and an impressive power output of 240hp.

This power surge establishes the 600e as the most potent Abarth ever crafted, boasting a formidable 84hp increase over its Fiat counterpart.

While maintaining the potential for electrifying performance, the 600e may inherit its battery from the Fiat donor car, equipped with a 54kWh nickel manganese cobalt lithium-ion unit. However, due to the higher-output motors, a slight reduction in range is anticipated compared to the Fiat 600e’s 400km range on the WLTP cycle.

Collaborating with Formula E supplier Hankook, Abarth equips the 600e with specially developed “high-performance” tyres aimed at delivering optimal grip and superior racing dynamics across various conditions.

In terms of aesthetics, Abarth ensures the 600e stands out from its Fiat counterpart. The Scorpionissima edition boasts an exclusive Hypnotic Purple paint finish, while the entire Abarth 600e lineup features an assertive body kit, distinguishing it as a performance-oriented machine.

Accentuating its sporty persona, the Scorpionissima model includes an enlarged spoiler atop the tailgate, hinting at increased track width. Additionally, the 20-inch wheels are fitted to accommodate an extensive braking system.

Owners of the Scorpionissima edition will receive an authenticity certificate, underscoring the exclusivity and pedigree of this electrifying Abarth creation.
