Proton telah menerima 7,157 tempahan untuk 2026 Proton S70 MC1 sejak tempahan dibuka pada 11 Februari lalu. Secara keseluruhan, jumlah penghantaran Proton S70 kini telah mencecah 40,112 unit sejak model ini diperkenalkan pada November 2023.

“Pencapaian melepasi angka 40,000 unit sejak pelancarannya merupakan satu kejayaan penting bagi Proton dan menunjukkan keyakinan berterusan rakyat Malaysia terhadap model ini,” kata Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Proton Edar, Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa.

“Proton akan terus membina momentum ini sambil memastikan pelanggan menikmati pengalaman pemilikan yang kukuh, disokong oleh rangkaian perkhidmatan Proton di seluruh negara,” tambah beliau.

Sebagai imbasan, 2026 Proton S70 MC1 kini ditawarkan dalam empat varian:

• S70 1.5TD Executive – RM68,800
• S70 1.5TD Premium – RM74,800
• S70 1.5TD Flagship – RM84,800
• S70 1.5TD Flagship X – RM89,800

Kemas kini paling ketara pada S70 versi terkini ini ialah penggunaan enjin baharu BHE15-EFZ i-GT turbo 1.5 liter empat silinder dengan suntikan terus, yang menggantikan enjin tiga silinder sebelum ini.

Enjin tersebut menghasilkan 181 PS pada 5,500 rpm dan 290 Nm tork dari 2,000 hingga 3,500 rpm, dipadankan dengan transmisi klac berkembar basah tujuh kelajuan yang memacu roda hadapan.

Proton has secured 7,157 bookings for the 2026 Proton S70 MC1 since order books opened on February 11. Zooming out further, total deliveries of the S70 have reached 40,112 units since its debut in November 2023.

“Surpassing the 40,000-unit milestone since its debut is a significant achievement for Proton and demonstrates the continued confidence Malaysians have in the model,” said Proton Edar CEO Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa.

“We will remain committed to building on this momentum while ensuring customers continue to benefit from the strong ownership experience supported by Proton’s nationwide network,” he added.

To recap, the updated 2026 Proton S70 MC1 is offered in four variants:

• S70 1.5TD Executive – RM 68,800
• S70 1.5TD Premium – RM 74,800
• S70 1.5TD Flagship – RM 84,800
• S70 1.5TD Flagship X – RM 89,800

The biggest update for the revised S70 is its new 1.5 litre BHE15-EFZ i-GT turbocharged direct-injected four-cylinder engine, replacing the previous three-cylinder unit.

The engine produces 181 PS at 5,500 rpm and 290 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 3,500 rpm, paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels.

Proton recorded 13,566 units in February 2026, bringing year-to-date sales to 33,399 units for the first two months of the year. The February figure represents a 20.8% increase compared with the same month in 2025, despite a softer overall market during the festive period.

Total Industry Volume (TIV) for February is estimated to have declined by 17.6% to 52,996 units, as deliveries slowed during the long holiday period. Proton’s market share is therefore expected to reach 25.6% for the month and 28.5% year-to-date.

The Proton Saga continues to be the brand’s biggest contributor. After recording its best-ever monthly sales in January, another 6,047 units were delivered in February, bringing year-to-date sales to 16,332 units. This represents a 69.8% increase compared with the same period last year, allowing the Saga to retain its position as Malaysia’s best-selling model so far in 2026.

The new Proton X50 continues to contribute strongly to Proton’s overall sales performance. A total of 1,842 units were sold in February, bringing year-to-date sales to 4,271 units, which is 31.1% higher than the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the newest addition to the range, the 2026 Proton S70 equipped with the company’s i-GT turbocharged engine, recorded 1,940 units in February. This made it Proton’s second highest-selling model for the month. Year-to-date sales for the S70 now stand at 3,544 units, representing a 51.5% increase compared with last year.

Commenting on the results, Proton Edar CEO Dato’ Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa said the company has started the year strongly, supported by a refreshed product range. “2026 has started brightly for Proton with strong customer interest for our new range of models that offer a compelling mix of design, the latest technologies, efficiency, and value,” he said.

He added that improving the customer experience across showrooms and service centres has also contributed to the brand’s performance.
“In the short-term, our most immediate challenge is to manage customer waiting times by increasing production and delivery numbers every month while maintaining product quality levels,” he said.

Following all the hype, the facelifted 2026 Proton S70 is officially launched with four variants and a starting price of just RM73,800.

The four variants of the S70 and their respective prices are as follows:

• Proton S70 Executive – RM73,800
• Proton S70 Premium – RM79,800
• Proton S70 Flagship – RM89,800
• Proton S70 Flagship X – RM94,800

Each S70 comes with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, a five-year data package at 2GB a month and eight free labour services.

Together with the launch, Proton has included a RM5,000 rebate for cars registered by 31 March 2026. On top of that, buyers within the window will receive a special nine-year financing option with financing up to 90% and interest rates from just 2.25%.

The recently announced Ministry of Transport’s matching grant programme includes the S70, so buyers are able to trade in cars older than 20 years old for a RM2,000 overtrade rebate that will be matched by the government for a total of RM4,000 off.

That said, most changes were made public with only the final specifications remaining to be confirmed. The biggest change is under the hood but is hardly a surprise as it was made known before.

That is the direct-injected 1.5-litre turbocharged inline-four in place of the discontinued three-banger, and first debuted in the X50 and X70. It makes 181 PS and 290 Nm off torque, or 31 PS and 64 Nm more.

All the extra grunt is still sent to the front wheels via the same seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The extra power translates into a quicker century sprint time of 7.5 seconds, an improvement of 1.5 seconds. Together with the quicker sprint, fuel consumption also got better with claimed figures of 5.7 litre/100 km.

Multiple minor upgrades combine to boost efficiency, such as the low-inertia and electronically controlled turbocharger that contributes 8% better throttle response with a reduction in turbo lag. You will also find a silent-toothed timing chain, lowering engine noise by 4%.

Given that most of the significant upgrades are beneath its skin, the cosmetic revisions are quite minor.

The headlights were slimmed, and the indicators repositioned and separated from the DRLs. Even the taillights received a new start-up animation.

However, the Executive has to make do with halogen headlights, though it does get LED treatment for the DRLs and taillights. The wheels are 16-inch pieces with a new design.

Step up to the Premium and you will get LED headlights with a full-length lightbar at the rear and a reverse camera.

Move up to the Flagship and the cosmetics now comprise larger 17-inch alloy wheels while the Flagship X is differentiated by a redesigned aerokit and certain exterior colours will see red lining added to the kit.

You can have your S70 in six colours, the new Ruby Red, Snow White, Quartz Black, Armour Silver, Space Grey and Marine Blue.

Lastly, the Flagship X gets a sunroof and black headliner.

Standard safety gear (Executive) in the S70 includes six airbags, ABS, ESC, EBD, BA, RTCA, rear collision warning, lane change assist and hill-hold assist.

The Premium is differentiated only by the addition of two front parking sensors.

All the bells and whistles are in the Flagship with Level 2 ADAS:

Bukan lagi rahsia bahawa kemas kini utama bagi Proton S70 2026 sedang dalam perancangan, dan kini ia telah tiba secara rasmi di semua bilik pameran 3S/4S di seluruh negara. Tempahan akan mula diterima bermula 7 Februari 2026.

Enjin tiga silinder sebelum ini telah digantikan dengan enjin baharu empat silinder i-GT 1.5-liter pengecas turbo, yang pertama kali diperkenalkan pada Proton X50. Ia dipadankan dengan transmisi “dual-clutch” 7-kelajuan. Prestasi rangkaian kuasa ini menghasilkan 181 PS dan tork 290 Nm, peningkatan ketara berbanding 150 PS dan 226 Nm pada enjin terdahulu.

Dari sudut kosmetik, S70 versi dipertingkat ini menerima rekaan semula lampu hadapan LED dan lampu siang (DRL) LED, namun lampu isyarat membelok kini menggunakan jenis reflektor-halogen. Ia juga dilengkapi dengan rim aloi 17-inci rekaan baharu serta set aerokit yang lebih “sporty.”

Di bahagian dalaman, S70 akhirnya dilengkapi dengan sokongan “Wireless Android Auto dan Apple CarPlay pada paparan infotainmen bersaiz 12.3-inci.

Aspek keselamatan kekal menjadi keutamaan dengan 13 ciri Sistem Bantuan Pemandu Tahap 2 (ADAS), termasuk Brek Kecemasan Autonomi (AEB), Bantuan Kekal Lorong (LKA), dan Amaran Trafik Melintas Belakang (RCTA).

Selain itu, Proton turut memperkenalkan pilihan warna baharu iaitu Ruby Red bagi menggantikan warna Passion Red sedia ada yang sering dikaitkan dengan warna teksi tradisional.

Terdapat juga khabar angin bahawa kemas kini S70 ini akan merangkumi pengenalan varian aras mula (entry-level) baharu dengan enjin 1.5-liter aspirasi natural (NA) yang ditambah baik daripada Proton Saga. Langkah ini dijangka akan menurunkan harga permulaan S70 secara signifikan dan diletakkan sebagai pengganti kepada model Proton Persona yang telah dihentikan pengeluarannya.

Sejak pelancarannya, Proton telah menjual lebih 38,000 unit S70, membuktikan penerimaan positif model ini di pasaran. Pelanggan boleh membuat tempahan bagi Proton S70 2026 dengan deposit sebanyak RM500 bermula 7 Februari 2026 di semua bilik pameran sah Proton 3S/4S di seluruh negara.

Majlis pelancaran rasmi berserta butiran penuh akan diadakan pada 11 Februari 2026.

It is no secret that a major refresh for the 2026 Proton S70 was in the works and now it is has officially arrived at all 3S/4S showrooms nationwide with bookings being accepted from 7 February 2026 onwards.

Gone is the three-banger, replaced with the new four-cylinder turbocharged i-GT 1.5-litre engine that first debuted in the Proton X50. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Outputs are 181 PS and 290 Nm of torque over the outgoing engines 150 PS and 226 Nm.

The extra grunt improves the century sprint time to 7.5 seconds and returns consumption figures of 5.7L/100km.

From a cosmetic perspective, the refreshed S70 gets redesigned LED headlights and LED DRLs but the indicators are now halogen-reflectors. It rides on new 17-inch alloy wheels and sports a new aerokit.

On the inside, the S70 finally gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on the 12.3-inch infotainment display.

Safety remains a priority with 13 Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).

Lastly, Proton will also introduce a new Ruby Red colour option to replace the current Passion Red that resembles the traditional taxi colour.

Rumours have surfaced that the S70’s refresh will include the introduction of a new entry-level 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine that would be updated from the Proton Saga. This would significantly lower the S70’s entry-point and be positioned as a replacement for the discontinued Proton Persona.

Since its launch, Proton has sold over 38,000 units of the S70, testament to the model’s acceptance in the market. Customers can place bookings for the refreshed S70 for RM500 beginning 7 February 2026 at all authorised Proton 3S/4S showrooms nationwide

Acara ini turut diadakan seminggu selepas Proton diumumkan sebagai salah satu penaja utama Penang Bridge International  Marathon (PBIM) 2025, di mana para peserta berpeluang memenangi sebuah Proton S70 baharu melalui cabutan bertuah. 

Bertemakan “Pandulah dengan Cekap. Hidup Secara Aktif. Raikan Malaysia”, acara One Tank Challenge ini sejajar  dengan objektif Hari Sukan Negara yang memupuk gaya hidup sihat dan aktif. Para peserta menempuh laluan  sejauh 110km yang merangkumi jalan di pulau, tanah besar serta kedua-dua jambatan yang menghubungkan Pulau Pinang dan Seberang Perai.

Bermula dari jam 8.00 pagi hingga 2.00 petang, seramai 33 orang pemilik Proton S70 mengambil bahagian untuk menguji kemahiran pemanduan berhemah sambil menikmati pengalaman pemanduan yang mengujakan ditawarkan oleh kenderaan mereka.

Dengan penyertaan seramai 33 orang peserta, persaingan untuk merebut hadiah utama amat sengit apabila  semua peserta berusaha mencapai kadar penggunaan bahan api paling minima bagi memenangi hadiah wang tunai yang ditawarkan. Bermula di Setia Sentral Juru, laluan tersebut merangkumi bahagian seberang pulau dan  pulau dengan destinasi ke Bayan Lepas dan George Town melalui Jambatan Pulau Pinang Kedua sebelum kembali ke titik permulaan melalui Jambatan Pulau Pinang Pertama. 

Sebelum memulakan perjalanan, setiap tangki kenderaan diisi penuh bahan api dan penutup tangki dimeterai  bagi memastikan kesemua peserta bersaing secara adil. Faktor penentu kemenangan bergantung kepada  kemahiran peserta mengawal penggunaan bahan api melalui kawalan pedal minyak dan brek yang lancar,  sambil mengekalkan kelajuan purata minimum agar perjalanan dapat diselesaikan dalam tempoh masa yang  ditetapkan. 

Pemenang utama ditentukan berdasarkan catatan penggunaan bahan api terendah (liter/100km), dikira dengan  tepat berdasarkan jumlah bahan api yang diperlukan untuk mengisi semula tangki selepas tiba semula di garisan  penamat. Selain hadiah utama bagi kecekapan bahan api, anugerah turut diberikan bagi kategori penglibatan media sosial terbaik (memaparkan detik menarik bersama Proton S70) serta pertandingan mewarna untuk ahli  keluarga peserta. 

Pada penghujung acara, Abu Bakar Bin Mohd Yusoff diumumkan sebagai juara setelah mencatat penggunaan  bahan api sebanyak hanya 3.48L/100km, bersamaan dengan purata 31.61km/L, yang memberikan jarak pemanduan maksimum secara teori sejauh 1,580km bagi tangki bahan api Proton S70 berkapasiti 50 liter. Atas kejayaan tersebut, beliau menerima hadiah wang tunai berjumlah RM1,000. 

Tempat kedua dan ketiga masing-masing dimenangi oleh Muhammad Syamim Bin Omar Farook, yang menerima RM800 selepas mencatat 3.98L/100km, manakala Mohd Aliff Bin Sani memperoleh RM600 dengan kadar kecekapan bahan api 4.40L/100km. 

Dengan harga permulaan hanya RM73,800, Proton S70 menawarkan nilai terbaik dalam kelasnya, dilengkapi  enjin 1.5L pengecas turbo berkuasa 150 PS dan tork 226 Nm, dipadankan dengan transmisi klac berkembar  tujuh kelajuan (7DCT) untuk pemanduan yang responsif dan menyeronokkan.

The challenge followed closely after Proton was named one of the title sponsors for the 2025 Penang Bridge International Marathon, where a new Proton S70 will be the top prize in the event’s lucky draw.

Under the theme “Drive Efficiently. Live Actively. Celebrate Malaysia,” the challenge aligned with the National Sports Day’s goal of encouraging active lifestyles. Thirty-three Proton S70 owners took part in the six-hour event, which ran from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants drove along a scenic 110 km route covering both Penang Island and the mainland, crossing the two bridges that link them.

The event drew strong participation from Proton S70 owners, all competing for cash prizes by achieving the lowest fuel consumption. Starting from Setia Sentral Juru, the route took drivers through Bayan Lepas and George Town via the Second Penang Bridge before returning to the mainland through the First Penang Bridge.

Before the start, officials filled each car’s fuel tank to capacity and sealed the fuel door to ensure a fair competition. Participants were judged purely on their driving technique — maintaining steady throttle and braking control to balance efficiency with the minimum required average speed to complete the course within the allotted time.

The winner was determined by calculating the amount of fuel needed to refill the tank after the drive, expressed as litres per 100 kilometres. Additional awards were also presented for best social media engagement and a colouring contest for participants’ family members.

Abu Bakar Bin Mohd Yusoff emerged as the overall winner, achieving an impressive 3.48L/100 km fuel consumption rate — equivalent to 31.61 km/L. The figure translates to a theoretical driving range of 1,580km from the S70’s 50-litre fuel tank. Abu Bakar received RM1,000 in prize money for his performance.

Second place went to Muhammad Syamim Bin Omar Farook with 3.98L/100 km, earning RM800, while third place was claimed by Mohd Aliff Bin Sani, who achieved 4.40L/100 km and received RM600.

The event not only highlighted the Proton S70’s engineering and efficiency but also strengthened community engagement among owners in Penang. Priced from RM73,800, the S70 is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 150PS and 226Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Meskipun jualan kereta secara keseluruhannya perlahan pada Januari 2025, berikutan peningkatan ketara di  penghujung tahun yang berjaya menaikkan jumlah keseluruhan industri (TIV) kepada rekod tertinggi 816,747  unit, Proton S70 terus mengekalkan momentum lebih 1,000 unit sejak awal 2024, dengan 1,143 unit terjual pada  Januari dan 1,197 unit pada Februari. Dengan 18,880 unit terjual pada tahun lalu, pemimpin segmen-C ini  mendahului pesaing sedan terdekatnya sebanyak 8,470 unit. Jualan tertinggi dicatatkan pada Februari 2024,  iaitu 2,290 unit. 

Model ini semakin diminati kerana menawarkan pengalaman segmen-C pada harga segmen-B. Proton S70  membezakan dirinya dengan enjin turbo 1.5L (150PS, 226Nm) dan transmisi klac dwi 7-kelajuan, memberikan  keseimbangan sempurna kuasa, kecekapan, dan keseronokan pemanduan. Ruang dalaman yang luas, ciri  keselamatan ADAS yang canggih, dan kos pemilikan yang rendah berbanding pesaing Jepun, berjaya menarik  perhatian pembeli. Ciri-ciri unik ini, ditambah dengan keseimbangan pengendalian yang terkenal dari Proton,  telah menjadikan Proton S70 dipilih sebagai kereta yang menandakan kembalinya syarikat tersebut ke  perlumbaan Sepang 1000KM pada tahun 2024. 

Sedan Bawah RM100k Menawarkan Nilai untuk Eksekutif, Eksklusiviti untuk Pembeli Model Utama

Kajian yang dijalankan ke atas hampir 200 pembeli S70 mendapati bahawa sejumlah pemilik tidak  mempertimbangkan model lain, kerana mereka melihat S70 sebagai produk yang istimewa dalam kategorinya. Meskipun ada pembeli yang mempertimbangkan model Jepun lain, pakej lengkap Proton S70 akhirnya menjadi  pilihan utama. Selain daripada tawaran nilai yang berbaloi, S70 menawarkan teknologi canggih dan ciri  keselamatan yang kukuh seperti brek kecemasan autonomi, amaran perlanggaran hadapan dan belakang,  amaran keluar lorong dan sistem pemantauan tekanan tayar. 

Maka, tidak hairanlah keluarga muda tertarik kepada S70 dan menjadikannya kenderaan kedua pilihan mereka. Data dalaman Proton mendedahkan bahawa 45% daripada pemilik adalah berumur 20-30 tahun, manakala  51% daripada responden adalah berkahwin dengan anak. Yang menariknya, 39% responden membeli S70  sebagai kereta kedua dalam keluarga mereka, sementara 37% menggantikan kereta lama mereka, dan hanya  20% merupakan pembeli kereta pertama kali. Ini menunjukkan bahawa S70 disukai oleh pemandu yang arif dan  tahu apa yang mereka inginkan.  

“S70 dianggap sebagai pembelian yang berbaloi kerana varian eksekutif mempunyai semua spesifikasi penting  yang saya perlukan,” kata seorang pemilik S70 Executive dalam tinjauan yang sama. Pemilik S70 Flagship X  yang lain berkata, “Saya inginkan keeksklusifan tetapi pada masa yang sama, saya mahukan harga yang  munasabah dan nilai yang berbaloi. Bagi saya, ciri-ciri seperti cermin suria dan kit badan adalah berbaloi dengan  harga yang lebih tinggi, kerana ia menambah nilai kemewahan dan penampilan kereta.” 

Hasil tinjauan menunjukkan 56% responden memilih S70 kerana harga yang mampu milik berbanding jenama  lain, dan 50% berpendapat model ini menawarkan nilai yang baik untuk wang. Jika dikaji dengan lebih teliti, 46%  pembeli tertarik kepada reka bentuk kabin yang menarik, 41% menyukai reka bentuk luaran yang menawan, dan  40% memuji penghantaran kuasa yang lancar. 

Proton telah melancarkan promosi Buka Lembaran Baharu pada bulan Mac, menawarkan rebat tunai  sehingga RM8,000 kepada pembeli Proton S70. Pembeli model Flagship X juga akan menerima Aerokit percuma  bernilai RM3,130, dan tambahan RM2,000 tersedia untuk sokongan tukar beli, menghasilkan nilai pakej  keseluruhan berpotensi sebanyak RM13,000. 

Dengan kempen video “RAYA Stylo with S70” yang akan dilancarkan minggu ini, Proton mengajak orang  ramai untuk mempamerkan keistimewaan S70 melalui kreativiti masing-masing. Setiap peserta dikehendaki  menghasilkan kandungan video berdurasi 60 saat sebelum memuat naiknya di TikTok dengan  #RAYASTYLOWITHS70. Dalam kedua-dua kategori, iaitu ahli kelab S70 dan orang awam, pemenang teratas  akan membawa pulang hadiah utama RM10,000 setiap seorang. 

“Proton S70 bukan sekadar bersaing, tetapi turut menerajui jualan sedan segmen-C di Malaysia. Ia telah  mencabar status quo, menawarkan alternatif yang menarik yang beresonansi dengan generasi baharu pembeli  kereta Malaysia, membuktikan bahawa nilai, prestasi, dan gaya boleh wujud bersama dalam satu pakej yang  luar biasa,” kata Roslan Abdullah, Timbalan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Proton.

In 2024, Proton sold 18,880 units of the S70, outselling its closest competitor by 8,470 units. The model’s best monthly performance was in February 2024, when sales peaked at 2,290 units.

The S70’s success is largely attributed to its ability to offer a premium C-segment experience at a price point typically associated with B-segment models. Equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged engine delivering 150PS and 226Nm of torque, coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the S70 strikes a balance between power, efficiency, and driving excitement. Beyond performance, its spacious interior, advanced driver assistance features, and lower ownership costs compared to Japanese rivals have been key selling points. This combination of attributes also led to the S70 being selected as Proton’s official entry in the 2024 Sepang 1000 KM race.

A Sedan Under RM100k Offering Value and Exclusivity

A recent survey of nearly 200 Proton S70 owners revealed that many buyers saw the model as a unique offering within its class. While some considered Japanese competitors, the S70’s well-rounded package ultimately swayed their decision. In addition to its value-driven appeal, the S70 boasts advanced safety features, including autonomous emergency braking, forward and rear collision warning, lane departure warning, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The survey also indicated a strong preference for the S70 among young families and second-car buyers. Proton’s internal data showed that 72% of S70 owners are between the ages of 20 and 40, with 51% of them married with children. Among respondents, 39% purchased the S70 as a second car, while 37% replaced an existing vehicle. First-time buyers accounted for 20% of owners, demonstrating the model’s broad appeal among experienced car buyers who prioritize value and performance.

Owners have also expressed their satisfaction with the S70’s balance of features and affordability. One S70 Executive owner described the vehicle as a “value buy” due to its well-equipped specifications. A Flagship X owner emphasized the appeal of the model’s premium touches, stating that features like the sunroof and body kit enhanced both the luxury and aesthetic appeal of the car.

Proton S70 Triumphs in the C-Segment with Competitive Pricing and Strong Features

Affordability remains a key factor for Proton S70 buyers, with 56% citing its competitive pricing against rival brands as a primary reason for their purchase. Additionally, 50% of respondents highlighted the model’s overall value for money. Further insights revealed that 46% of buyers were drawn to the car’s interior design, 41% appreciated its exterior styling, and 40% were impressed by its power delivery.

To build on this momentum, Proton has introduced the “Buka Lembaran Baharu” promotion in March, offering S70 buyers cash rebates of up to RM8,000. Purchasers of the Flagship X variant will also receive a complimentary Aerokit worth RM3,130, with an additional RM2,000 trade-in support available. In total, buyers can enjoy benefits worth up to RM13,000 under this promotional campaign.

Adding to the excitement, Proton is set to launch a video campaign titled “RAYA Stylo with S70” this week. The campaign invites participants to showcase their creativity by producing 60-second videos highlighting the S70’s unique features. Entries must be posted on TikTok with the hashtag #RAYASTYLOWITHS70. The top winners in two categories—S70 club members and the general public—stand a chance to win grand prizes of RM10,000 each.

Reflecting on the S70’s success, Proton Deputy Chief Executive Officer Roslan Abdullah emphasized the model’s impact on the Malaysian automotive market. “The Proton S70 doesn’t just compete; it is leading sales in the C-segment sedan category. It has challenged the status quo by offering a compelling alternative that resonates with a new generation of Malaysian car buyers, proving that value, performance, and style can coexist in one exceptional package,” he said.

With its strong market reception, aggressive promotional campaigns, and unwavering appeal to value-conscious buyers, the Proton S70 continues to solidify its position as the leader in Malaysia’s C-segment sedan market.

Jualan YTD dipimpin oleh tiga model Proton, sementara pemasangan Saga CKD bermula di Mesir

Walaupun sedang berusaha untuk mengukuhkan kedudukan di pasaran EV, Proton terus memberi tumpuan  kepada penyediaan produk terbaik untuk pelanggan ICE. Dalam tempoh dua bulan pertama tahun ini, tiga model  Proton mendahului segmen masing-masing untuk jualan tahun hingga kini (YTD).  

Proton S70 kekal sebagai sedan segmen-C terlaris di Malaysia, menawarkan gabungan prestasi, ruang,  sambungan, dan nilai dalam reka bentuk luaran yang menarik yang telah membantunya memenangi pelbagai  anugerah. Oleh itu, ia telah mendahului jualan segmen selama dua bulan berturut-turut, dengan 2,340 unit yang  dijual pada tahun 2025.  

Model SUV segmen-B Proton adalah satu lagi pilihan popular yang berterusan di kalangan pembeli kereta. Dengan hampir 130,000 unit terjual sejak pelancarannya pada Oktober 2020, Proton X50 terus melebihi  jangkaan dan merupakan penanda aras emas untuk kejayaan jualan.  

Proton X90, model utama Proton, terus mendominasi jualan SUV segmen-D, manakala Proton X70  mencatatkan jualan sebanyak 746 unit pada bulan Februari. Proton Saga terus mendominasi jualan semua  model Proton dengan 5,024 unit terjual bulan lepas, sementara model-model lain seperti Proton Persona dan  Proton Iriz masing-masing mencapai 1,323 dan 283 unit.  

Seiring dengan peningkatan jualan, bulan Februari juga membawa perkembangan baru kepada operasi eksport  Proton. Pada minggu terakhir bulan Februari, versi CKD Proton Saga pemanduan kiri (LHD) mula dikeluarkan  dari barisan pemasangan di fasiliti Ezz Elarab Elsewedy Automotive Factories (ESAF) di Mesir. Kenderaan yang  dihasilkan oleh ESAF akan memenuhi keperluan pelanggan di Mesir dan Afrika Utara, sekaligus membina  landasan bagi pengembangan pasaran di masa depan.  

Kemudahan baru ini dibina dengan pelaburan sebanyak USD50 juta, dengan kapasiti pengeluaran tahunan  sebanyak 40,000 kenderaan dan menandakan komitmen Mesir terhadap pembangunan perindustrian.  Penggunaan komponen yang diperoleh secara tempatan oleh kemudahan tersebut dan rancangan untuk  pengembangan masa depan, termasuk pengeluaran kenderaan elektrik (EV), sejajar dengan Wawasan 2030 Mesir. Ia juga sejajar dengan sasaran Proton untuk 10% daripada jumlah jualan mereka datang dari pasaran  eksport menjelang 2030. 

Proton e.MAS 7 terajui jualan EV, eksport mula dihantar 

Populariti Proton e.MAS 7 sedang melonjak, dengan peminat EV berpusu-pusu ke bilik pameran untuk melihat  sendiri EV pertama daripada OEM Malaysia. Lebih daripada 4,500 tempahan telah direkodkan, dengan bakal  pelanggan yang ingin mengambil kesempatan daripada pakej tawaran awal.  

Sebanyak 580 unit Proton e.MAS 7 telah dihantar pada bulan Februari, sekali gus melepasi had 1,000 unit bagi  jumlah keseluruhan penghantaran. Pencapaian tersebut membuktikan bahawa bilangan rakyat Malaysia yang  bersedia untuk membuat peralihan kepada kenderaan elektrik dengan Proton semakin meningkat, asalkan  pakej yang ditawarkan secara keseluruhan memenuhi jangkaan mereka.  

Selain daripada jualan domestik, Proton e.MAS 7 juga bersedia untuk mencipta pengaruh di pasaran eksport. Sebanyak 50 unit telah dieksport ke Nepal pada bulan Februari sebagai persiapan untuk pelancaran akan datang,  sementara sejumlah kecil unit turut dihantar ke Singapura dan Trinidad & Tobago untuk tujuan evaluasi.  

“Jualan Proton telah menunjukkan pemulihan pada bulan Februari setelah permulaan tahun 2025 yang  kurang memberangsangkan. Masih ada sedikit ketidakpastian tentang kemampuan pembeli tetapi buat masa  sekarang, jumlah jualan kami sedang menambah. Maka, Proton secara keseluruhan terus fokus untuk  meningkatkan volum jualan bagi rangkaian produk ICE kami, dan pada masa yang sama, menetapkan rentak di  pasaran EV. Dengan Proton e.MAS 7 yang telah terbukti berjaya di peringkat awal, cabaran kami kini adalah  untuk memastikan ia terus menjadi tumpuan sambil merancang dengan agresif untuk pengenalan model-model  kami yang lain pada akhir tahun ini,” kata Roslan Abdullah, Timbalan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, Proton. 

Proton telah melancarkan kereta lumba S70 R3 terbarunya untuk perlumbaan ketahanan 1000KM Sepang (S1K) 2024 yang akan datang, diadakan di Litar Antarabangsa Petronas Sepang. Menambah warna kepada dunia perlumbaan tempatan, Proton akan menyertai dengan dua buah kereta, masing-masing dipandu oleh pasangan pemandu berpengalaman.

• Kereta #81: Dipandu oleh Syafiq Ali, juara S1K tiga kali, bersama Fahrizal Hasan, yang terkenal dengan rekod kemenangan dalam perlumbaan ketahanan 12 Jam Sepang.
• Kereta #82: Menampilkan dua bintang baru yang sedang meningkat, Ariff Azmi, juara karting dan perlumbaan jelajah berusia 18 tahun, serta Alister Yoong, pelumba Formula 4 berusia 21 tahun dan anak bekas pemandu F1, Alex Yoong.

Alister Yoong menambah kekuatan pasukan Proton dengan pengalaman perlumbaan yang mengagumkan:

• Menang Liga Perlumbaan India 2022 dan kini mendahului kejuaraan tahun 2024.
• Mencatat empat kemenangan dalam Kejohanan Prototaip Sukan Itali (CISP) dan dua kemenangan dalam Kejohanan Prototaip Sukan Perancis.
• Menjawat sebagai ketua jurulatih di Akademi Axle, yang ditubuhkan oleh bapanya, di mana beliau melatih pelumba muda.

Kereta Lumba: Proton S70 R3

Model S70 R3 ini dikuasakan oleh enjin S4PH aspirasi semula jadi 1.6 liter, mematuhi peraturan Malaysian Touring Car (MTC). Proton juga berpotensi untuk mengembangkan penyertaannya dalam kelas SP2 Siri Kejuaraan Malaysia tahun hadapan. Dengan barisan pemandu berpengalaman dan model kereta yang mantap, Proton tampak bersedia untuk memberi saingan sengit dalam perlumbaan ketahanan S1K 2024.
