The programme was established to restore mobility to those who lost their homes and transport, ensuring affected families could resume essential daily routines such as commuting, school drop-offs, and medical visits. Chery delivered the first batch of 25 vehicles on 4 April, with the remaining 25 handed over on 9 April to complete the distribution.

The initiative was conducted in collaboration with the office of Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Selangor State Executive Councillor for Investment, Trade and Mobility YB Ng Sze Han, as well as local authorities. Their joint efforts ensured the smooth coordination and timely rollout of the vehicle distribution to the impacted families.

Each recipient received a one-month vehicle loan, along with RM100 in fuel assistance provided by Chery to help ease their transport needs. In a further show of solidarity, the company also contributed RM50,000 to the Putra Heights Mosque, which has served as a temporary shelter for more than 80 families since the tragedy. The donation is aimed at supporting the mosque’s ongoing operations, particularly in covering increased utility expenses as it continues to house displaced residents.

Chery Corporate Malaysia reaffirmed its dedication to being more than just a car manufacturer, positioning itself as a compassionate and responsible corporate citizen. The company expressed its heartfelt support to all families affected by the disaster and hoped that the assistance extended would offer some relief and reassurance during this challenging period.
