Positioned as a rugged off-road contender, the Jetour T2 sports a squared, purposeful design that evokes the visual strength of more established models such as the GWM Tank 300. The previewed unit in Malaysia was a left-hand drive model, and Jetour Auto Malaysia has yet to disclose specific technical details for the local market version.

Nevertheless, specifications from the Chinese domestic market offer a glimpse of what may be expected. In China, the T2 is offered with both conventional petrol engines and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) option. The internal combustion variants include a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 184hp and 290Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. A more powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivers 254hp and 390Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The range-topping PHEV configuration pairs the 1.5-litre turbo engine with electric motors housed within a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. This setup delivers a combined system output of 375hp and 610Nm of torque. The electrified T2 includes a 26.7 kWh battery, which enables an electric-only driving range of up to 117 kilometres under the WLTC standard. Fuel consumption is rated at a remarkably low 1.08 litres per 100km.

Inside, the T2 promises a modern driving experience. Standard features in the Chinese market include a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Higher-spec models are fitted with luxury-oriented amenities such as a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, and wireless phone charging capability.

Jetour Auto Malaysia had previously confirmed that the T2 is on track for a Q4 2025 launch. With the preview now complete and public interest building, the brand is expected to position the T2 as a capable and well-equipped SUV option for Malaysian consumers drawn to adventurous styling and electrified performance.
