Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has announced that the first Mitsubishi Xforce has officially rolled off the production line at its Pekan, Pahang plant. Bookings for the new B-segment SUV are set to open later this week, ahead of its official market launch.
To support local assembly of the Mitsubishi Xforce, MMM has upgraded its Pekan manufacturing operations. This includes the establishment of a new sub-assembly body shop, as well as the installation of updated equipment across the paint, outfitting and tester lines.
MMM says the Xforce is produced in accordance with Mitsubishi Motors’ global production standards, applying its Japanese manufacturing philosophy that emphasises process discipline and quality control across body assembly, painting and final inspection.

According to MMM CEO Takashi Sakamaki, the local production milestone ensures that vehicles assembled in Pekan meet the same quality benchmarks as Mitsubishi models produced elsewhere globally.
Ahead of the Mitsubishi Xforce’s launch, MMM aims to deliver the first 800 units by April, following production readiness and quality validation checks.
While full local specifications and pricing will be announced closer to launch, what’s known is that the Mitsubishi Xforce gets a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated 4A91 petrol engine, producing 105hp and 141Nm, paired with a CVT.
