Chery Malaysia has announced its upcoming fourth-generation (“Gen 4”) showroom concept, which will be progressively rolled out nationwide starting this year as part of the brand’s next phase of expansion in Malaysia.
The new Gen 4 showroom replaces the current Gen 3 design and introduces a more premium, tech-forward look. A key visual change is the new black front pile-on, featuring Chery and Tiggo branding. The emphasis on Tiggo reflects Chery’s continued focus on the SUV line-up for Malaysia.
The exterior also adopts a black fascia treatment, paired with brown shield design elements that are intended to symbolise protection and family-oriented values. Inside, every Gen 4 showroom will feature a hero display vehicle positioned at the entrance, with the Tiggo 8 PHEV currently serving that role.
Functionally, the Gen 4 concept places stronger emphasis on electrification readiness. All new-generation showrooms will be equipped with DC chargers that are free to use for Chery customers. Dedicated service areas and trained technicians will also be in place to support plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models.

Customer-facing facilities have been expanded as well. The new layout includes a business lounge, a children’s play area, and a more comfortable waiting area for aftersales customers. Each showroom will also feature a dedicated delivery bay, streamlining the vehicle handover process.
Chery Malaysia expects to open 30 Gen 4 showrooms by the end of this year, with the long-term goal of transitioning all Chery dealerships in the country to the new design language. Dealers are required to invest approximately RM 3 million per outlet for the upgrade, with Chery noting that there has been no resistance from its dealer network so far, reflecting confidence in the brand’s direction.

The Gen 4 showroom rollout coincides with Chery’s broader growth plans in Malaysia, following steady sales momentum since its market re-entry in 2023 and increasing emphasis on hybrid and electrified models.
Chery’s renewed presence in Malaysia began in July 2023 with the launch of the Omoda 5 and Tiggo 8 Pro. This was followed by the introduction of the Omoda E5, the brand’s first electric vehicle in Malaysia, in March 2024. The Tiggo 7 Pro arrived in June 2024, before Chery expanded its line-up further with the Tiggo Cross in July 2025 and the O5 (Omoda 5 facelift) in September 2025. Most recently, the Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV were launched in October 2025, followed by the introduction of the Tiggo 8 in a new non-Pro entry variant.
