Pro-Net has announced that 3,026 units of the Proton eMas 5 were delivered in January 2026, making it the highest monthly delivery figure ever recorded for a single Pro-Net model.

The milestone comes on the back of a strong 2025 for the Proton eMas brand, which recorded 9,549 vehicles sold, accounting for approximately six percent of Proton’s total annual sales and 22 percent of Malaysia’s EV market share.

“The Proton eMas 5 has exceeded every expectation since the day it was launched, and the response from Malaysians has been truly extraordinary,” said Pro-Net CEO Zhang Qiang. “Delivering more than 3,000 units in a single month is a milestone that underscores both the strength of our product and the growing confidence in Malaysia’s EV future.”

Pro-Net also confirmed that the RM 3,000 launch price rebate for the eMas 5 will be maintained.

Proton eMas 5 Records Over 3,000 Deliveries In January 2026

Launched in October 2025, the Proton eMas 5 is the brand’s entry-level electric hatchback, featuring a rear-wheel-drive layout across the range. The Prime variant produces 78 hp and 130 Nm, drawing power from a 30.12 kWh CATL LFP battery for a WLTP-rated range of 225 km. The Premium variant increases output to 114 hp and 150 Nm, paired with a 40.16 kWh battery that extends range to 325 km WLTP.

Growth for the Proton eMas lineup is expected to continue with the launch of the eMas 7 PHEV later today, Proton’s first plug-in hybrid model. Estimated to be priced between RM 110,000 and RM 130,000.
