It is going to be a huge year for Honda Malaysia as the best-selling non-national passenger car brand has confirmed it will launch 6 new models in 2026, all part of an effort to hit its conservative 60,000 units sales target for the year.
While the supposed six models were never hinted at, some educated guesses reveal the first to be the all-new Honda Prelude. This was all but confirmed with the slide that displayed Honda’s S+ Shift technology.
Next up is almost certainly the kei-sized Honda Super One EV. First shown in the region in Singapore, the electric hatchback was also sighted testing on Malaysian roads back in November. That could see a spanner thrown in the works with the new RM250k cap on CBU EVs by the government, but Honda Malaysia could bring it in as a statement model.

Given how generous carmakers are with the term ‘new,’ the six could also include facelifts. Taking that into account, the CR-V was refreshed in Thailand back in December, making it three.
Going with that school of thought, the WR-V and City/City Hatchback are also up for a facelift.

Lastly, the final model could very well be the StepWgn. Thailand and Indonesia have already received the MPV so Malaysia seems like the next logical step.
All will be revealed soon but one thing is for sure, it is going to be a huge year for Honda Malaysia.
