The Leapmotor C10 is set for another update in Malaysia, and this one appears to be more substantial than last year’s revision.
The C10 was previously updated in Malaysia with relatively minor changes, including an upgrade from a 6.6 kW to an 11 kW onboard AC charger, along with added equipment such as tyre pressure monitoring system, motorised tyre inflator kit, a frunk, and a tonneau cover.
Teasers posted by Leapmotor Malaysia promise “more power” and “more range,” suggesting the local market is about to receive the upgraded specification introduced in China.
In China, the updated C10 saw output rise to 299 PS, representing a 68 PS increase over the earlier 231 PS version sold there. The Malaysian-market C10 currently produces 218 PS, slightly lower than its original Chinese counterpart.
The promise of more range comes via a larger lithium iron phosphate battery pack. Capacity increases from 69.9 kWh to 74.9 kWh.
In China, the updated model is rated at 605 km on the CLTC cycle, translating to roughly 495 km on the WLTP standard. That would represent an increase of around 70 km over the current Malaysian C10’s 424 km WLTP figure.

Perhaps a more significant development is the reported switch from a 400V to an 800V electrical architecture in China. An 800V system allows for faster DC charging, improved efficiency and better thermal management.
Externally and internally, changes appear limited. The Chinese update introduced a new purple exterior colour, electrically powered door handles and a 50W wireless charging pad.
Another question is whether the updated C10 will arrive as a locally assembled model. Leapmotor previously indicated that the C10 would move to CKD production at Stellantis’ plant in Gurun, Kedah. If so, the 2026 update could mark the start of local assembly. Pricing has yet to be announced. For reference, the current C10 was reduced to RM 125,000 from RM 159,000 last June.
