UMW Toyota Motor has launched the 2026 Toyota Harrier 2.5 HEV in Malaysia, priced at RM 289,000 on-the-road without insurance. The hybrid variant is now the sole Harrier model listed for sale locally, replacing the previously offered 2.0 litre petrol variant.
Power comes from Toyota’s A25A-FXS 2.5-litre Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine, producing 178 PS at 5,700 rpm and 221 Nm from 3,600 to 5,200 rpm. It is paired with an electric motor rated at 88 kW (120 PS) and 202 Nm, delivering a combined system output of 218 PS to the front wheels. UMWT claims fuel consumption of 4.7 litres per 100 km .
The 2026 Toyota Harrier continues to ride on the TNGA-K platform with MacPherson struts up front and a double-wishbone rear suspension. Braking consists of ventilated front discs and solid rear discs, while wheels are 18-inch alloys wrapped in 225/60R18 tyres.

The cabin comes with black leather upholstery, a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory, four-way power front passenger seat, ventilated and heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents and air purification, and a digital rear-view mirror .

Available exterior colours are Platinum White Pearl, Grey Metallic and Precious Black. The first two colours carry an RM800 premium.
The 2026 Toyota Harrier HEV is backed by a five-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and an eight-year unlimited mileage hybrid system warranty covering the hybrid battery, inverter and power management ECU.
