Porsche has introduced the 2026 Porsche Cayenne S Electric variant, expanding the brand’s all-electric Cayenne range with a model positioned between the base Cayenne Electric and the range-topping Cayenne Turbo Electric.
The new variant delivers 400 kW (544 PS) from its dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, rising to 490 kW (666 PS) with Launch Control. Porsche claims the Cayenne S Electric can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.
Like the other Cayenne Electric variants, the S uses a 113 kWh high-voltage battery, offering up to 653 km of WLTP range. The SUV supports up to 400 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10–80% charge in under 16 minutes under ideal conditions.
The Cayenne S Electric also adopts direct oil cooling for the rear electric motor, a feature shared with the Cayenne Turbo Electric that helps maintain performance during sustained high loads.
Visually, the S model gains model-specific front and rear styling, along with additional equipment and customisation options. Porsche is also introducing curated design packages under a new “Style” product line, starting with an Interior Style Package that will be available across the Cayenne Electric range.

Malaysia Launch When?
While the 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric has yet to be launched in Malaysia, its arrival locally appears likely given Porsche Malaysia’s recent rollout strategy.
Looking at the Macan, the Macan Electric was introduced globally before being launched in Malaysia roughly 10 months later, suggesting a similar timeline could apply for the Cayenne Electric. With the SUV making its global debut in November 2025, a Q3 2026 launch window would be realistic.

At the same time, Porsche’s combustion-powered Cayenne is not disappearing anytime soon. Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) previewed the facelifted Cayenne and Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe, indicating that petrol and hybrid versions will continue to be sold alongside the electric model.
This mirrors Porsche’s broader strategy already seen with the Macan, where electric and internal combustion versions were offered concurrently before the ICE model was quietly phased out in Malaysia last year.
