The very first over-the-air (OTA) software updates have been announced for the Leapmotor B10, bringing improved connectivity in the form of wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as one-pedal driving and infotainment shortcuts just six months following its launch in Malaysia.
Apart from one-pedal driving and enhanced connectivity for the B10, the update package also includes expanded voice command functions and a range of refinements that make the vehicle more intuitive for users.
The introduction of one-pedal driving allows most of the acceleration and deceleration to be controlled directly through the accelerator pedal as the heavier energy recovery logic contributes to less use of the brake pedals and improves efficiency.

Further enhancing user-friendliness are the interface updates that improve accessibility, allowing drivers to personalise their steering wheel buttons with new multifunction settings, including shortcuts for ADAS features and drive modes.
One of the most important components of the updates includes split screen functionality. Navigation can now be displayed through a newly introduced left side split screen layout, improving visibility when using multiple applications.

The infotainment system now also launches faster thanks to a new preloading ‘Quick Start’ feature.
Additionally, improvements to ACC and LCC ensure smoother deceleration when approaching curves.
As the OTA updates have begun rolling out, owners will receive an in-vehicle notification when the software is available and can be installed via the infotainment’s interface.
