Collins had initially revealed that McLaren would reveal its plans by the end of 2025 but that was delayed for strategic reasons. Additionally, CYVN has invested around £1.5 billion (~RM 8 billion) in McLaren to grow its existing portfolio beyond two-seater supercars.

This suggests that the announcement of future models will coincide with deliveries of its new flagship McLaren W1 hypercar, the successor to the P1.

Aside from that, Collins added that dealers have already been shown full-sized models of all the new cars the brand will launch by 2030.

The report continues to detail that the reveal will unlikely be a production model but more of a concept that dictates their direction moving forward.

Will there be an EV from the brand? Collins says not yet, as customers are not looking for one yet. However, if the need arises, they will work on it. This ensures that all new models to be launched by 2030 will be primarily powered by an internal combustion engine with the possibility of electrification, like the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 in the W1 with an F1-derived electric E-module.
