Visually, the Sport Edition receives a dedicated bodykit that includes a front splitter, side skirts and rear spats, all accented with red highlights. It also gets 19-inch alloy wheels finished in gloss black, differentiating it from the standard Premium variant.

Inside, updates are focused on styling details. The cabin features red contrast stitching on the seats, steering wheel and front armrest, along with Sport Edition embroidery on the front seats. Proton has also added a boot tray as part of the package, with the total value of enhancements estimated at around RM 7,000.

Mechanically, there are no changes. The X70 Sport Edition retains the same 1.5-litre turbocharged direct-injection 4-cylinder engine producing 181 PS and 290 Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.

Again, pricing has yet to be announced, but given that it is based on the Premium variant, which was previously priced at RM 112,800 (with launch rebate), the Sport Edition is expected to be positioned slightly higher.
