Honda Malaysia has previewed the all-new 2026 Honda Prelude. The model shown is the sixth-generation Prelude, and while full launch details have yet to be confirmed, its presence here signals that a local introduction is happening sooner rather than later.
Unlike previous generations which were based on the Accord, the new Prelude is closely related to the FE Honda Civic, effectively positioning it as a global coupe counterpart to the sedan and hatchback.
The biggest change is under the bonnet. For the first time, the Prelude adopts a hybrid powertrain, using Honda’s 2.0-litre e:HEV system paired with a dual-motor setup. Outputs are rated at 203 PS, similar to the Civic e:HEV.
Also introduced is a new S+ Shift function, which simulates stepped gear changes to deliver a more engaging driving feel, despite the use of an eCVT transmission.
