Zeekr is a part of the Geely Auto Group and its all-new high-performance flagship SUV, the 8X, forms a formidable partnership with the Zeekr 9X as the marque’s flagship offerings.
The 8X is built on the SEA-S architecture and the Super Electric Power (SEP) Hybrid System, delivering powerful performance for every scenario and a premium experience. This is the very same platform underpinning the Lotus Eletre and Emeya, hence the electrifying performance.

Core technologies such as its full-stack 900V high-voltage architecture, high-performance AWD system and Haohan AI Digital Chassis lend the 8X unmatched power across all speed ranges and steady control on all terrains.
There will be two variants, a dual- or tri-motor setup with a dedicated 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 279 PS on its own. The dual-motor variant makes 897 PS and 935 Nm of torque while the range-topping tri-motor makes a whopping 1,400 PS and 1,410 Nm of torque.

The numbers do not lie as the three-motor Zeekr 8X Flagship Edition accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in just 2.96 seconds, making it the world’s fastest-accelerating hybrid SUV. Even the dual-motor is no slouch, dispatching the century sprint in 3.7 seconds.
Pure electric range is up to 410 km, depending on the two battery packs available, either a 55 kWh or 70 kWh unit. The combined range can climb up to 1,416 km but this is based on the optimistic CLTC cycle. As for charging, its 900 V architecture is capable of juicing it up from 20-80% in about 9 minutes.

Many cars in this segment have long shattered the conventional notion that performance and comfort are mutually exclusive but the 8X further elevates that with MPV-like spaciousness, one-touch comfort of the Eames Lounge Chair and the world’s only Naim audio system.
The voice assistant has evolved to Super Eva, based on WAM (World Action Model). This transforms the 8X into a vehicle-wide super-intelligent control centre that natively integrates with underlying systems such as G-ASD 4.0 driver-assistance system, chassis and powertrain.
Will the 8X make its way into local Zeekr showrooms? Only time will tell but we would put our money on it.
