Xpeng has debuted the flagship Xpeng GX in China, marking its entry into the full-size SUV segment as the brand’s most premium offering to date.
The Xpeng GX is offered with two electrified powertrain options, which include a fully electric (BEV) version and a range-extended (REEV) variant, both positioned at the same starting price of 399,800 yuan (around RM 232,000).
In terms of size, the GX measures 5,265 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, 1,800 mm in height, with a 3,115 mm wheelbase. For reference, the fifth-gen long-wheelbase Range Rover has a length of 5,252 mm and a wheelbase of 3,197 mm.
The BEV version is built on an 800V architecture and offers up to 750 km of range (CLTC), along with fast charging capability. Meanwhile, the REEV variant pairs a 1.5-litre engine acting as a generator with dual electric motors, delivering up to 430 km of pure electric range and a combined range of up to 1,585 km.
