Omoda & Jaecoo Malaysia has confirmed that the Omoda C4 will be introduced in Malaysia. Positioned as a B-segment SUV, the C4 will be offered with a choice of turbocharged petrol and hybrid powertrains.
Details have yet to be divulged, but both variants are expected to be based on a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine, like the ones found in the Chery Tiggo Cross. The turbo petrol version is expected to produce 147 PS and 210 Nm, paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels.
The hybrid variant uses the brand’s Super Hybrid System (SHS), combining a 1.5-litre engine with an electric motor producing 204 PS and 310 Nm, paired to a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).
In terms of design, the C4 adopts a more aggressive look compared to other models in the lineup, featuring sharp body lines and lighting signature, plus a full-width rear lighting design.
Inside, the C4 is equipped with a large portrait-format infotainment display, along with a digital instrument cluster. Other features include dual phone holders, one with wireless charging, and minimal physical controls integrated into the centre console.
Not much else is known about the car, including the timeline of its arrival. More will be revealed.
