Safety and Volvo are synonymous, with the focus of the driving experience centering around a broader campaign by VCM this year to re-engage Malaysians and road safety
At the back of this campaign are staggering road safety statistics courtesy of the Department of Statistics Malaysia. The paint a bleak picture, with a reported 4,428 transport-related fatalities in 2024, of which 2,574 casualties were aged between 15-40 years old

The driving experience will be hosted at the Sepang International Circuit’s (SIC) Driving Experience Centre and will include demonstrations of Volvo’s latest Safe Space Technology, which leverages real-world data and artificial intelligence to predict, adapt and prevent risks before they occur.
By demonstrating the safety features in simulated scenarios, this immersive experience transforms technical specifications on spec sheets into tangible reminders that safety decisions have real consequences and costs for everyone.

Interested participants can register for the experience by clicking here. Slots are strictly limited to 192 pax on a first-come, first-served basis, with a registration fee of RM 300 for non-Volvo owners, RM 150 for Volvo owners and RM 100 for non-participating guests.
Each Volvo car owner will only be allowed to use their registered VIN number once and for safety reasons, parents are strongly advised not to bring minors under 18 years of age along.
Through this, the Selamat Driving Experience spotlights a hard truth, that some lives are changed by close calls and others are lost to preventable accidents, but those who have never faced critical split-second decisions cruise down the roads with a false sense of security and an unawareness of how quickly everything can change.
