Lexus Malaysia has been posting teasers over several days, with captions referencing “urban excellence”, “true performance”, and “a new era” of luxury craftsmanship. While the brand has yet to confirm the model officially, the silhouette and lighting details make the Lexus LX the most likely candidate.
Globally, the latest Lexus LX is built on Toyota’s GA-F ladder-frame platform, shared with the Land Cruiser 300. Compared to the previous-generation model, the platform is said to offer improved rigidity, reduced weight and better on-road and off-road performance.
Powertrain options globally include the LX600, powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 415 PS and 650 Nm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
There is also the LX700h hybrid, which combines the same twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor for a total system output of 464 PS and 790 Nm.
