As the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026 (MCVE 2026) gets underway, Angka-Tan Motor Sdn Bhd made a small step towards redefining the urban logistics landscapes with the launch of the new Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT.
The Aumark S Euro 5 AMT becomes the first Chinese-branded light-duty truck in Malaysia with an automated manual transmission (AMT), designed to deliver smoother gear shifts, reduced driver fatigue and improved fuel economy in stop-go urban environments.
Power for the Aumark S Euro 5 AMT comes from a Euro 5 rated Cummins ISF 3.8-litre turbodiesel inline-four engine that makes 154 PS and 500 Nm of torque.
Fitted between the engine and rear wheels is a new ZF 6-speed AMT. The engine and AMT powertrain combination focuses on providing low maintenance costs through long service intervals and lower fuel consumption.
In terms of utility, the Aumark S Euro 5 AMT measures 6,930 mm long, 2,060 mm wide and 2,250 mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,800 mm as well as a gross vehicle weight (GVW) ranging from 7,500 kg to 9,900 kg. Safety wise, the improved Aumark S is equipped with ABS, ASR and hill-start assist.
Furthermore, the Aumark S is a product of the ‘Super Truck Global Innovation Alliance,’ meaning it is built on a rigid body structure that meets international standards such as ECE R29 which feature a cab design that protects vehicle occupants.
