Bermaz Xpeng has launched the 2026 Xpeng X9 facelift in Malaysia. The new X9 is offered in three variants, starting with the FWD Standard Range at RM 281,073. This is followed by the FWD Long Range at RM 299,073, while the new AWD Performance variant sits at the top of the range at RM 335,573.
Despite earlier expectations that the facelifted X9 could coincide with Xpeng’s local assembly plans at EPMB’s Melaka facility, the new X9 remains a fully imported (CBU) model from China for now.
Visually, the facelifted X9 retains its overall futuristic MPV shape, with Xpeng’s “Robot Face” front design, a horizontal daytime running light signature, floating roofline, large side windows and a continuous rear light bar.
For the facelift, the X9 now comes with power front soft-close doors, while the exterior colour range has also been updated. Five colours are available: Midnight Black, Arctic White, Matte Gray, Lambent Cyan and Polar Violet. However, Polar Violet is reserved for the AWD Performance variant.
Inside, the X9 gets an updated cabin colour selection, including Coffee, Meteorite Black and a new Rose Brown dual-tone design. The Rose Brown interior is only available with Polar Violet on the AWD Performance variant.
The cabin continues to feature a 21-inch head-up display, a 17.3-inch centre infotainment screen and a 21.4-inch rear passenger entertainment screen. The facelift also adds a new ultra-fibre steering wheel and an upgraded 27-speaker X-Opera audio system.
Further back, the X9 gets a more flexible second-row 40:60 split-folding configuration, aimed at making it easier to accommodate child seats, strollers or larger items. The Standard Range and Long Range variants get 14-way second-row seats, while the AWD Performance variant receives 18-way Grand Sofa Seats.
