Hyundai Motor Malaysia has launched the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N in Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026 (KLIMS 2026), marking the official arrival of Hyundai’s high-performance N brand here. The Ioniq 5 N is priced at RM 443,888, while the Ioniq 6 N is priced at RM 449,888.
Hyundai Motor Malaysia has launched the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N in Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026 (KLIMS 2026), marking the official arrival of Hyundai’s high-performance N brand here.
The Ioniq 5 N is priced at RM 443,888, while the Ioniq 6 N is priced at RM 449,888. Both prices are on-the-road without insurance. The two EVs are offered on an indent, made-to-order basis.
The Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N use a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, with the front motor producing 226 PS and the rear motor producing 383 PS. Combined output is rated at 609 PS and 740 Nm, or 650 PS and 750 Nm when N Grin Boost is activated.
With N Launch Control, the Ioniq 5 N accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 260 km/h. The Ioniq 6 N is quicker to 100 km/h, taking 3.2 seconds, while top speed is rated at 257 km/h.
Both models are powered by an 84 kWh NMC battery. The Ioniq 5 N offers up to 448 km of WLTP range, while the Ioniq 6 N offers up to 487 km. DC fast charging from 10 to 80% takes 18 minutes.
As N models, both cars get a range of performance-focused systems. These include N Torque Distribution with 11 levels of adjustment, N Race with Sprint and Endurance modes, N Battery Preconditioning, N Launch Control, N Drift Optimiser and N Pedal.
They also come with N e-Shift, which simulates gearshifts from an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and N Active Sound+, which generates artificial performance sounds through the Bose sound system and exterior speakers. On the Ioniq 6 N, the system has been updated with additional sound tuning and a new Lightspeed sound mode.
Chassis upgrades include additional spot-welding points, structural adhesive, bespoke suspension tuning, an electronic limited-slip differential and larger brakes with 400 mm front discs. The Ioniq 5 N also gets additional inner wheelhouse reinforcement and stiffer suspension mounts, while the Ioniq 6 N gets added rear and underbody strengthening.
On the outside, both models are visually separated from the regular Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 with wider fenders, more aggressive bumpers, red accents and Pirelli P Zero Elect tyres. The Ioniq 5 N rides on 21-inch forged wheels, while the Ioniq 6 N uses 20-inch wheels and gets a swan-neck rear wing.
Inside, both models get an N steering wheel with extra controls for performance functions, leather and Alcantara bucket seats with illuminated N logos, chequered flag pedals, and Hyundai’s connected car Navigation System with 12.3-inch instrument and infotainment displays. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included.
The Ioniq 5 N gets a fixed centre console with knee pads for added support during hard cornering, while the Ioniq 6 N receives a redesigned centre console, twin USB-C ports, a built-in roof mount for an action camera and a Track Manager lap timer and analyser.
Safety equipment includes autonomous emergency braking with junction turning assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, curve speed reduction, lane centring assist, auto lane change, blind spot monitoring with collision avoidance, rear cross traffic alert with auto brake and adaptive high beam.
For the Ioniq 5 N, colour options include Atlas White, Cyber Grey Metallic, Abyss Black Pearl, Ecotronic Grey Pearl, Soultronic Orange Pearl, matte Atlas White, matte Gravity Gold and matte Ecotronic Grey. It is also available in Performance Blue and matte Performance Blue.
The Ioniq 6 N is offered in Serenity White Pearl, Nocturne Grey Metallic, Abyss Black, matte Nocturne Grey, matte Gravity Gold and Performance Blue Pearl.
Both models come with an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty covering the entire vehicle and battery. For a limited time, buyers will also receive a launch package consisting of either a free AC wallbox charger or RM 1,800 in JomCharge credits, N merchandise worth up to RM 2,000 and financing rates from as low as 1.97% per annum.
