Order books are now open for the Zeekr 9X, which is being previewed ahead of a planned launch in late 2026 or early 2027. Estimated pricing starts from RM 800,000, which would make it the most expensive Zeekr model in Malaysia if the final launch price remains close to that figure.

Inside, the 9X gets a high-end cabin with Nappa leather upholstery, suede headliner, natural wood veneer trim and a crystal media control knob. Equipment includes ambient lighting, powered seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions, a 13-inch digital instrument cluster, dual 16-inch 3.5K OLED displays for the infotainment and front passenger, a refrigerator, 32 speakers and a rear 17-inch ceiling-mounted display.

The 9X is built on the SEA-S platform with a 900-volt electrical architecture and uses Geely Group’s SEA Super Hybrid plug-in hybrid system. This consists of a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 279 PS, paired with electric motors and either a 55 kWh or 70 kWh NMC battery.

In its most powerful form, the 9X combines a 70 kWh battery with three electric motors to produce 1,400 PS and 1,410 Nm. However, the unit previewed at KLIMS is understood to use a lower-output setup with two electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear, producing 897 PS and 935 Nm.

Depending on the powertrain, the 9X can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in as little as 3.1 seconds, with other versions rated at 3.9 or 4.2 seconds. Top speed is limited to 240 km/h.

WLTP electric-only range is between 235 km and 302 km, depending on the powertrain configuration, while the combined hybrid driving range is between 982 km and 1,015 km. With its high-voltage system, DC fast charging from 20 to 80% takes as little as nine minutes.

The 9X also gets dual-chamber air suspension and continuous damping, while 48V active roll stabilisation is available as an option. Its driver assistance hardware includes a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, although final Malaysian specifications have yet to be confirmed.

Compared to the regular Zeekr 009 currently sold in Malaysia, the 009 Grand is focused more heavily on rear passenger comfort. It gets a partition between the front and rear cabin, with a small powered window that allows rear passengers to speak to the chauffeur when needed.

The left-hand-drive unit shown at KLIMS is based on the China-market 009 Grand. In China, it uses an 800-volt system, a 108 kWh NMC battery, dual electric motors and a CLTC-rated range of 702 km. Output is rated at 789 PS and 810 Nm.
