Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has previewed the new 2026 Hyundai Stargazer at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026 (KLIMS 2026), with bookings now open for the B-segment MPV.
The 2026 Hyundai Stargazer is expected to be launched in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of 2026. Estimated pricing starts from RM 99,XXX for the 7-seater Style, RM 109,XXX for the 7-seater Prime and RM 121,XXX for the 6-seater X.
The Stargazer will compete against models such as the Mitsubishi Xpander and Toyota Veloz. It measures 4,575 mm long, 1,780 mm wide and 1,695 mm tall, with a 2,780 mm wheelbase.
Power comes from a 1.5 litre Smartstream naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 113 PS at 6,300 rpm and 144 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The engine is paired with Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), which sends drive to the front wheels.
The model shown at KLIMS is the facelifted Stargazer, which made its debut in Indonesia last year. It gets Hyundai’s H-shaped front lighting graphic across the width of the front end, with an illuminated version available on higher variants. The Prime and X variants also get reflector LED headlamps.
At the rear, the H motif is repeated in the taillights. The Stargazer X adds a more SUV-inspired look with sportier bumpers, silver skid plate-style trim, overfenders, blacked-out badging and a rear spoiler. Wheel sizes are 16 inches for the Style and 17 inches for the Prime and X, with the X receiving its own black-finished wheel design.
Inside, the Stargazer gets a redesigned dashboard with a wide display layout. The base Style variant gets a seven-segment LCD instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch multi-info display and an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen, while higher variants get dual 10.25-inch displays.
Other equipment includes wireless device charging, seat-back tables for rear passengers and ceiling-mounted rear air vents with dedicated blower controls. The Style and Prime are offered with seven seats, while the Stargazer X is offered as a six-seater with second-row captain chairs. With all seats in place, boot space is rated at 182 litres. This can be expanded to 1,892 litres with the second and third rows folded.
In terms of safety, the Stargazer is offered with Hyundai SmartSense on higher variants. Available features include Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, autonomous emergency braking, lane centring assist, blind spot monitoring with collision avoidance, rear cross traffic alert with auto brake, front departure alert, driver attention monitor, door opening warning and auto high beam.
The first 800 customers will receive a launch package worth RM 4,600, which includes an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty, four years of free service and a booking fee of RM 88. Existing Hyundai owners will also receive a RM 1,000 rebate.
Final specifications, full variant equipment and confirmed pricing will be announced closer to the 2026 Hyundai Stargazer’s official launch.
