UMW Toyota Motor is showcasing a mix of concept mobility, electrified choices and Toyota Gazoo Racing displays at the ongoing Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
Toyota’s booth this year is built around the brand’s broader view of future mobility, connecting concept vehicles with electrified options that are already available to customers today. In Malaysia, Toyota’s electrification journey has mainly been built through Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), before expanding further into Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV).
This ties into Toyota’s Multi-Pathway approach, where the brand believes customers should have different ways to move towards lower carbon mobility based on their needs and readiness, instead of relying on a single solution.
The main highlights at the Toyota booth are three concept models, namely the Corolla Concept, IMV Origin and Toyota Kids mobi. The Corolla Concept gives visitors a look at how one of Toyota’s most familiar nameplates could evolve in the future. According to Toyota, the concept explores future design, packaging and powertrain possibilities while keeping the Corolla’s focus on accessible, dependable and relevant mobility.
The IMV Origin looks at mobility from a more practical and community-focused angle. It reflects Toyota’s thinking around vehicles that can support work, local enterprise and daily use, particularly in areas where mobility plays a direct role in livelihoods. Toyota describes the concept as simple and adaptable, with an emphasis on being useful, repairable and responsive to real-world needs.
Toyota Kids mobi takes a different approach by focusing on mobility for children. The concept explores how safe and secure AI personal mobility could support independence, confidence and growth for younger users. It also fits into Toyota’s wider Mobility for All vision, where mobility solutions are designed for people whose needs may not always be addressed by conventional vehicles.
Besides the concept models, Toyota is also showcasing its Toyota Gazoo Racing side at KLIMS 2026. Visitors can experience the GR spirit through performance models, a GR simulation game and a merchandise wall. Visitors can catch Toyota’s KLIMS 2026 showcase at MITEC until 21 June 2026.
