The 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce has finally and officially been launched and Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) will be glad the model is replicating the success of the ASX as it re-enters the SUV market with a starting price of RM 109,980.
Each Xforce comes with a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. There will be two variants of the compact SUV that is locally assembled (CKD) in Pekan with pricing as follows:
- Mitsubishi Xforce 1.5L Urban – RM 109,980
- Mitsubishi Xforce 1.5L Ultimate – RM 119,980
Alongside the launch, MMM has extended the early bird promo of a RM 5,000 cash rebate to April 12, 2026, as well as an additional RM 1,000 rebate for existing Mitsubishi owners and government servants.

The Xforce will have some heavy competition in a saturated B-segment against the likes of the Honda HR-V, Proton X50 and Chery Tiggo Cross.
Under the hood of the Xforce is a 1.5-litre 4A91 MIVEC 4-cylinder engine, the very same in the popular Mitsubishi Xpander. While it might not pack quite an xforce (pun intended) with 105 PS and 141 Nm of torque, it is proven to be a bombproof, reliable powerplant.

No 4-speed automatic like the Xpander here though, the Xforce gets a newer CVT-type automatic that drives the front wheels. The powertrain is quoted to return 17.9 km/litre (5.6-litre/100 km) on the Malaysian Driving Cycle that is similar to the NEDC.
Despite being longer than the HR-V and X50, the Mitsubishi still manages a decent 5.2-metre turning radius for excellent manoeuvrability.

On paper, the Xforce does seem like it lacks the right tools for the job. No fancy turbocharged or hybrid engines nor does it have an extensive equipment list. However, the simplicity could very well work in its favour.
And then there is its look. The Xforce has an aggressive appearance and dare we say, looks the best among its peers.
While looks may be subjective, that is to not say it is barren in the equipment corner. The Xforce is equipped well and can even lay claim to possessing some rally-bred DNA in its handling genes.
Active Yaw Control (AYC) is pioneered by Mitsubishi during its glorious rallying days and debuted in the Mitsubishi Evo. Here, it is adapted to apply individual brakes on the driven wheels to direct more torque to the outside rear wheel and reduce understeer.
Standard equipment across the board comprises the following:
- 18-inch wheels
- electric parking brake
- 360-degree parking camera
- centre armrest with built-in cooler
- reclinable rear seats
- Mitsubishi (AYC)
As for the entry-level Urban trim, you will get the following:
- 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen
- 6-speaker audio system
- Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- dual-zone automatic air-conditioning
- integrated front dash-cam
- 4 airbags
- cruise control
- Lance Change Assist
- Blind Spot Warning
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Step up the Ultimate and the list of extras includes:
- larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen
- 8-speaker Yamaha audio system
- 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster
- powered tailgate
- purifier for the air-conditioning
- drive modes (Normal, Wet, Gravel, Mud)
- 6 airbags
- Front Collision Mitigation
- Lead Car Departure Notification
- Auto High Beam
- adaptive cruise control
- tyre pressure monitoring system
- wireless charger
- integrated rear dashcam
- white weave on the dashboard paired with mocha accents
- tailgate spoiler
MMM aims to produce 800 units a month in Pekan and deliveries are scheduled for April 2026 with bookings have well exceeded the 1,000 mark as well.
The Xforce can be had in Red Metallic, Diamond Black Mica, Graphite Gray and Quartz White Pearl although the last shade will cost an extra RM 400.
Owners can also purchase a range of genuine accessories in packages. Instead of paying the full premium for the Ultimate trim, Urban owners can buy the Urban Level Up package for RM1,000 that comprises a tailgate spoiler and engine hood emblem, mimicking the Ultimate from the exterior.
Additionally, MMM also has the Excitement package (front under garnish, side door garnish and rear under garnish) for RM4,100 or the Practicality package (luggage tray and mud guard) for RM700. The first 50 customers that purchase these packages will receive a 20% discount.
Lastly, there are individual accessories as well:
- roof rails – RM2,200
- scuff plates – RM355
- door visors – RM205
- fabric cleaner – RM50
