A local Mazda dealer has indicated that the Mazda CX-60 equipped with the 3.3-litre mild hybrid powertrain is on the way, along with a quoted price of RM 252,872.
Currently, the Mazda CX-60 is sold here in a single variant, powered by a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine, priced at RM 200,510. For those wanting for more oomph, this is where the inline-six comes in.
The 3.3-litre e-Skyactiv-G engine is a turbocharged inline-six paired with a 48V mild hybrid system. Outputs stand at 284 PS and 450 Nm, with an additional 16 PS and 153 Nm contributed by the electric motor. Power is sent through an eight-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels (AWD).
Based on images circulating from the same source, the incoming variant also appears to bring some visual upgrades. The exterior looks to feature body-coloured wheel arch cladding and dual-tone wheels, differentiating it from the current 2.5 NA model.
Inside, there also seems to be new interior colour options, including what looks like a light (white) or tan upholstery, similar to what’s in the CX-80.
If the RM 252k price point holds true, the inline-six CX-60 would sit neatly between the existing 2.5 NA variant and the larger CX-80 plug-in hybrid, which is priced at RM 296,610.
For now, Mazda Malaysia has yet to officially announce the variant, so final specifications, features, and pricing remain to be confirmed.
