The Chery Tiggo V was globally unveiled at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. Positioned as the first “transformable” SUV in the Tiggo lineup, the vehicle is designed to blur the boundaries between traditional vehicle categories.
The Chery Tiggo V (V stands for versatile) is a seven-seater SUV in its standard form, but utilises a multi-purpose architecture that allows it to be reconfigured into a pickup or a cargo carrier. According to the company, the vehicle offers six distinct configurations to address various mobility scenarios, from urban commuting to logistics and outdoor travel.
The transition between SUV and pickup is enabled by a detachable rear body shell. In its cargo-focused layout, the vehicle draws from the T1TP study, which featured a 600-litre cargo bed with four anchor points and adjustable dividers to extend the loading area into the passenger cabin.
The Tiggo V is built on a unibody platform with a 2,800 mm wheelbase and an interior height of 1,297 mm. The ample interior height is intended to facilitate easier movement for occupants within the cabin.
