Bridgestone Malaysia has launched the Potenza Adrenalin RE005 sports tyre, bringing sporty performance, balanced wet handling and everyday drivability to drivers that demand more from their rubbers. The new range will be available in sizes from 15 inches all the way to 20 inches.
Everything starts with the rubber and Bridgestone has developed an advanced rubber compound that boosts grip and handling whilst better resisting build up for more consistent performance.
Additionally, the compound was also specifically formulated for reduced lower rolling resistance, making it more fuel efficient and a good fit for EVs as well.

According to Bridgestone, the RE005 improves by 8% in dry grip and by a massive 10% in the wet over its RE004 predecessor. The latter would be especially welcomed during the wet spell Malaysian is currently undergoing.
The increase in grip comes primarily from a wide block design meant to distribute pressure evenly to enhance strong grip and handling in dry and wet conditions.

Furthermore, cornering stability is improved by integrating connecting blocks in the tread, with a wider inside rib sharpening steering response. On top of that, distinctive A-shaped grooves make for predictable handling.
Given the state of our weather now, the RE005’s advanced rain pulse groove increases water dispersion to reduce the chances of hydroplaning.
The RE005 will be available in sizes ranging from 15 to 20 inches and the recommended retail price ranges between RM 351 to RM 1,543.
