Tesla Malaysia has officially opened its new Tesla Experience Centre at The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey in Johor Bahru, adding to their current outlets and pop-up locations in Klang Valley, Penang, Johor and Sarawak. The new facility marks Tesla’s latest expansion in Malaysia and is located at G-019, South, Mid Valley Southkey, near Sogo. It spans 3,300 sq ft and is aimed at serving Tesla owners and prospective customers in both Malaysia and Singapore.
The Johor Bahru Experience Centre displays Tesla’s full current model line-up in Malaysia, including the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L. Tesla says the Model 3 is Malaysia’s best-selling electric sedan, while the Model Y remains the world’s best-selling electric vehicle.
The opening also coincides with the start of local deliveries for the Tesla Model Y L, the brand’s latest six-seater SUV in Malaysia. Deliveries begin around two months after the model was launched locally in April.
As a recap, the Model Y L Premium All-Wheel Drive is priced at RM 260,000 in Malaysia. It offers an estimated range of 681 km, a top speed of 201 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 5.0 seconds.
