Since 2006, Goodyear has played an essential role in equipping St. John Ambulance’s fleet of emergency vehicles with high-performance tyres. These tyres are critical for ensuring the reliability and safety of ambulances, which need to perform under extreme conditions during urgent medical responses. This latest donation reinforces Goodyear’s dedication to aiding those who protect public health.

St. John Ambulance Malaysia provides critical services, including 24/7 ambulance operations, bariatric and neonatal transport, and haemodialysis centres. As the primary ambulance provider for Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2, they are often on the frontline of emergency responses, including air disaster management.
The Goodyear Cargo Marathon 2 tyres were specifically chosen for their advanced features. These tyres come equipped with a polymer tread compound for better mileage and improved wet braking performance—crucial for emergency vehicles navigating various road conditions across Malaysia. The tyres’ optimised tread pattern ensures even pressure distribution and extended wear, while their closed tread design offers enhanced durability, a quieter ride, and improved comfort for medical personnel and patients alike.
