The next step in the carmaker’s Malaysian journey will see its portfolio split into a three-pronged spear comprising the core, bread-and-butter models, the sportier N Line offerings of those models and the electrifying high-performance N division tyre-killers.

Of course, the most exciting of the trio will be the all-electric N models. First up is the Ioniq 5 N, a model Porsche itself benchmarked in its now-defunct efforts to build an electric Cayman and Boxster.

The dual-motor AWD Ioniq 5 N makes 650 PS and up to 770 Nm of torque for a century sprint time of just 3.4 seconds and tops out at 260 kph. It has a 84 kWh battery with a WLTP range of 448km. It supports DC fast charging up to 350 kW.

On the other hand, the Ioniq 6 N makes the same amount of power and torque but does the century sprint in a swifter 3.2 seconds but loses out a little at the top end with just 257 kph. This sedan also uses the same battery but has a little more range at 487km.

Among the features of the N models include a Drift Optimiser, N Torque Distribution, N Grin Boost, N e-Shift, N Launch Control and N Lightweight Sports Seats.

Expect the N models to take on the likes of the Porsche Macan Electric and the Lotus Eletre as well as the Emeya.
