Among the flurry of new models expected to be launched by Honda Malaysia in 2026 will be the zippy Honda Super-One, that will join the e:N1 as the company’s second electric vehicle (EV) in the country.

Our southern neighbours have already gotten their hands on it but better late than never, and we should be seeing it in Malaysia soon.

The Honda Super-One Will Double Honda Malaysia’s EV Offerings But Will It Be Priced Over RM250k?

Honda has stated that the kei-sized Super-One was made with Asean markets in mind and adding further weight to the speculation was the fact it was spotted testing on Malaysia roads in November 2025.

Nonetheless, with the government recently imposing a RM250k minimum price cap on fully-imported (CBU) EVs, the zippy Super-One’s Malaysian journey might be over even before it has started.

To counter that point though, the Super-One was spotted wearing Malacca trade plates, which is where Honda Malaysia’s assembly plant is located. That could indicate that they are exploring the possibility of local assembly (CKD) for more competitive pricing.

Until Honda Malaysia launches another EV though, we will hold on to those hopes.

The Super-One is based on the N-One e but with a little more performance in mind. That translates into a wider track with the prerequisite blistered arches, lowered suspension and larger wheels expected of a quick kei.

We use the term kei loosely as the Super-One’s larger dimensions has seen it exceed the footprint of an official kei car.

Performance figures are not mind-blowing with just 95 PS and 162 Nm of torque from a front-mounted single motor. Still, if Honda gets the suspension tuning for the MacPherson strut front and torsion beam rear, it should be a fun drive. It will ride on 15-inch wheels.

DC fast charging will take it from 20% to 80% 30 minutes, the same as the N-One e, but with more power being churned out, expect the range to be shorter than the base car’s WLTP-rated 295 km from the 29.6 kWh pack.

Honda has even added a Boost mode that increases the motor’s output a little. You will also find simulated gear changes with seven virtual ratios, similar to the Prelude that will also be coming here.

Inside, the N-One e cabin is the base with some sporty additions such as increased front seat bolstering for support. Infotainment is via a nine-inch touchscreen.

Safety comprises the Honda Sensing suite including including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane centring assist and a LaneWatch camera.
