On the hybrid side, the J5 adopts the brand’s Super Hybrid System – Hybrid (SHS-H), pairing a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 143 PS and 215 Nm with an electric motor rated at 204 PS and 310 Nm. Combined system output stands at 224 PS and 295 Nm, delivered via a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) to the front wheels.

Performance figures indicate a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds, with a claimed fuel consumption of 5.3 litres per 100 km (18.9 km/l) and a total driving range of up to 980 km.
