The model previewed here appears to be the latest 2026 version, featuring a roof-mounted lidar sensor and new 20-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Continental EcoContact 7 tyres. Design-wise, the Z9 GT retains its long, low-slung shooting brake profile, with dual-bar LED headlights, fake front fender vents, and wide taillights with hourglass-shaped lighting elements.

Under the skin, the Z9 GT uses a tri-motor all-wheel drive setup. The front motor produces 313 PS and 430 Nm, while each of the two rear motors produces 422 PS and 400 Nm. Total system output stands at 1,156 PS and 1,210 Nm, allowing the Z9 GT to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. Top speed is rated at 269 km/h.

The Z9 GT is also the first globally sold model to use BYD’s second-generation Blade LFP battery. Battery capacity is rated at 122.49 kWh, giving the electric wagon a WLTP range of 600 km.

One of its biggest highlights is BYD’s Flash Charging technology. With a compatible high-powered DC charger, the Z9 GT can reportedly charge from 10 to 70% in five minutes, or from 10 to 97% in nine minutes.

Inside, the 2026 model gets a new three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel, a column-mounted gear selector and a lightly redesigned centre console with repositioned physical controls and additional storage.

The cabin still features a 17.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 50-inch augmented reality head-up display, and twin 13.2-inch displays for the driver and front passenger.

Other equipment includes fine-grade leather upholstery, light-smoked wood trim, powered front seats with heating, ventilation and massage, and active side bolsters. The rear seats are also highly equipped, with extended leg rests.

The Z9 GT also gets front and rear built-in refrigerators, a panoramic glass roof, four-zone automatic air-conditioning, three 50W wireless chargers and a 20-speaker, 1,150-watt Devialet sound system with Dolby Atmos surround sound. Boot space is rated at 495 litres, while a 53-litre front boot is also provided.
