The Xpeng G6 range in Malaysia has been expanded with the introduction of the new Xpeng G6 Standard Range, slotting in below the existing line-up comprising the Long Range and AWD Performance. As the entry-point into G6 ownership, the Standard Range will start at RM158,888.
A single motor in the rear delivers 252 PS and 440 Nm of torque. It is built on Xpeng’s SEPA 2.0 architecture, enabling it to utilise rapid charging from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes, delivering one of the fastest charging rates in its class courtesy of the 800V 5C ultra-fast charging platform.
The smaller 68.5 kWh battery returns a WLTP range of up to 480 km whilst being 50 kg lighter than the Long Range variant (80.8 kWh), contributing to improved efficiency and a more responsive driving feel.
Xpeng runs AI-powered energy management that optimises motor performance and enhances real world efficiency, returning consumption as low as 16.6 kWh per 100 km. Real-world energy efficiency is made clear as even with the air conditioning running while parked, the vehicle consumes only around 1% battery per hour.
Safety is of the utmost importance and the G6 Standard Range runs XPILOT Assist, XPENG’s intelligent driving suite. The system processes real-time data with exceptional speed and precision, enabling smoother decisions and more natural responses.
Part of the suite includes a comprehensive suite of intelligent driving features as standard:
- Autonomous Parking Assist (APA)
- Auto Exit Parking Assist (AEP)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Lane Centering Control (LCC)
A plush yet functional interior has always been the hallmark of Xpeng and it does not drop the ball here. Occupants will enjoy the interior layout, soft touch materials, ambient lighting, and intuitive digital interfaces that create a comfortable and futuristic design.
The software enhances everyday usability with thoughtful features such as customizable X Combo settings, allowing functions like auto cool seats to activate when the seatbelt is fastened. The customisable Human Machine Interface (HMI) further contribute to an intuitive user experience.
Comfort for rear occupants is enhanced with the optimised backrest angle and extended cushion length to support long distance journeys. A clear, lag-free 360-degree camera system makes parking and manoeuvring in tight spots a breeze.
Apart from the starting price of just RM158,888, every G6 Standard Range purchase will include either a 2-year unlimited charging package by JomCharge or a complimentary 11kW Wallbox with installation by DC Handal. The package is applicable to every Xpeng sold here.
Furthermore, it comes with a 5-year or 120,000 kilometres manufacturer warranty, along with five years or 100,000 kilometres of free service and maintenance. The battery pack is equipped with its own 8-year or 160,000 kilometres warranty.
