Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) Director, Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, announced that discussions are underway to finalise the discount rates, expected to be implemented starting mid-December. He noted that the current 60 percent discount offered during the 2TM Program and the 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform will serve as a benchmark for upcoming programs.

“We are focusing on completing the summons payment period for the 2TM Program, which runs from today until Sunday. After that, we aim to launch a nationwide summons discount program at police stations by mid-December, offering reductions of between 30 and 50 percent,” said Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri during a press conference at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

He clarified that the 60 percent discount available during the 2TM Program is a special offer exclusive to the event, and subsequent discounts will depend on ongoing discussions and deliberations.

As of 3 p.m. on Friday, a total of 11,620 summonses had been settled, amounting to RM1.03 million. The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with approximately 3,000 individuals taking advantage of the reduced rates. Encouraged by this turnout, PDRM anticipates even more participants over the weekend.

To accommodate the public, PDRM has set up 25 payment counters at the KLCC venue, including seven dedicated for individuals with disabilities, senior citizens, and pregnant mothers. Additionally, 21 self-service payment machines and 520 seating arrangements have been provided for the convenience of visitors.
