Bermaz Xpeng has announced that the locally assembled (CKD) Xpeng G6 is now open for booking in Malaysia, with first customer deliveries set to begin next month. The CKD G6 will be offered in three variants: the RWD Standard Range, RWD Long Range and AWD Performance.
The CKD model retains the same pricing as the previously introduced fully imported version, starting from RM 158,888 for the RWD Standard Range. The RWD Long Range is priced at RM 178,888, while the AWD Performance is priced at RM 189,888. These are vehicle selling prices for West Malaysia. This also means the AWD Black Edition, which was previously part of the CBU line-up, is not listed for the CKD model.
The CKD G6 is assembled at EP Manufacturing Berhad’s facility in Melaka. This follows Bermaz Auto’s earlier appointment of EPMB as its local assembly partner for Xpeng vehicles, with the first CKD units having rolled off the line last month.
According to Bermaz Xpeng, customer deliveries for the CKD G6 are scheduled to begin in August 2026. Bookings can be placed at any authorised Bermaz Xpeng dealership nationwide. Despite the move to local assembly, Bermaz Xpeng says the G6 retains its core technology and performance strengths. The model continues to be built on Xpeng’s SEPA 2.0 architecture and retains its 800V ultra-fast charging capability, which allows 10-80% charging in 12 minutes.
All CKD variants are also equipped with XPilot Assist, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Control and Autonomous Parking Assist. Bermaz Xpeng says the system has enhanced processing capabilities for smoother and more natural responses in everyday driving.
Dato’ Sri Francis Lee, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bermaz Auto Berhad, said Xpeng’s leadership in AI-driven mobility aligns with Malaysia’s direction to strengthen domestic EV capabilities and build a competitive, future-ready ecosystem.
“With local assembly of the G6 now underway, we are proud to offer Malaysian customers a smart EV that combines advanced technology with the added value of domestic production,” he said. He added that Bermaz Xpeng is maintaining the same competitive pricing for the CKD G6 while providing additional ownership benefits.
For a limited time, the CKD Xpeng G6 comes with a complimentary wallbox charger worth RM 5,000 and insurance coverage support of up to RM 5,000. Full specifications for the CKD G6 have not been detailed in the latest announcement, but the variant line-up is largely carried over from the CBU model.
As a recap, the G6 RWD Standard Range uses a rear-mounted motor producing 252 PS and 440 Nm. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.94 seconds and has a top speed of 202 km/h.
The Standard Range variant uses a 68.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering up to 480 km of WLTP range. DC charging is rated at up to 382 kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in 12 minutes, while AC charging is rated at 11 kW.
The G6 RWD Long Range gets a rear motor producing 296 PS and 440 Nm. It does 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and has the same 202 km/h top speed.
This variant uses a larger 80.8 kWh LFP battery, with WLTP range rated at 525 km. DC charging goes up to 451 kW, also enabling a 10-80% charge in 12 minutes. AC charging remains at 11 kW.
The range-topping G6 AWD Performance adds a front motor to the Long Range setup, producing a combined 487 PS and 660 Nm. It reduces the 0-100 km/h time to 4.13 seconds, while top speed remains 202 km/h.
The AWD Performance also uses the 80.8 kWh LFP battery, with WLTP range rated at 510 km. Like the Long Range, it supports DC charging at up to 451 kW and AC charging at 11 kW.
