Denza Malaysia has officially launched the new Denza Z9 GT, priced at RM 358,800. The launch also marks the model’s Asia Pacific debut, making Malaysia the first market in the region outside China to receive Denza’s flagship luxury electric grand tourer. It is also one of the most powerful cars officially sold in the country.
In terms of size, the Z9 GT measures 5,180 mm long, 1,990 mm wide and 1,490 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Denza describes its design language as “Elegance in Motion”.
Exterior highlights include slim dual-bar LED headlights, flush door handles, a long roofline, wide rear haunches and full-width rear lighting. The Z9 GT is offered in two exterior colours for Malaysia, namely Rime Gold and Obsidian Black.

The 2026 model also gets a roof-mounted lidar sensor and 20-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels. The car features an AR Projection Auto Rear Gate system, where the tailgate can automatically open when the driver steps on a projected logo. The suspension can also automatically lower to make loading and unloading easier.
Underneath, the Z9 GT is based on BYD’s e3 platform. Its tri-motor all-wheel drive setup produces a combined 850 kW, or around 1,156 PS, and 1,210 Nm of torque. According to Denza, the Z9 GT EV is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 269 km/h.
The Z9 GT EV is powered by BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery with a capacity of 122.49 kWh. It uses a Cell-to-Body battery structure and a 1,000 V electrical architecture. Denza claims a pure electric range of up to 600 km on the WLTP cycle.
The Z9 GT supports BYD Flash Charging, with Denza claiming a 10 to 70% charge in five minutes, and a 10 to 97% charge in nine minutes. These figures are based on compatible high-powered charging infrastructure. The Z9 GT also supports Vehicle-to-Load, with a maximum output of 4 kW.
The platform also allows for several advanced manoeuvring functions. The Z9 GT comes with rear-wheel steering, with a maximum rear axle steering angle of 15 degrees for Crab Mode-style movement. This allows the front and rear wheels to steer in the same direction for parallel movement.
There is also what Denza calls Pencil Compass Turn, which allows the car to rotate in a tight space by locking one of the front wheels and independently controlling the rear wheels. Denza claims a turning radius of 4.62 metres.
For ride and handling, the Z9 GT is fitted with DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension, along with CDC stiffness control. The system continuously adjusts damping stiffness to balance comfort and body control. Ride height is also adjustable, with ground clearance listed at 145 mm at its maximum, 120 mm as standard and 100 mm at its lowest setting.
The suspension layout consists of double wishbones at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear. The Z9 GT also gets Denza’s Vehicle Motion Control system, which can adjust wheel torque individually for better stability on low-friction surfaces. Denza also highlights a high-speed tyre burst control system, tested up to 180 km/h.
Inside, the Z9 GT comes with four electrically operated doors with soft-close function, which can be opened and closed via buttons or voice control. The system also uses four millimetre-wave radars to detect outside obstacles.
The cabin features genuine leather upholstery, natural wood veneer and a knitted fleece roof lining. For Malaysia, the Rime Gold exterior can be paired with either a Dark Chocolate and Perg Beige interior or an all-black interior with suede seats and yellow stitching. Obsidian Black can be paired with Dark Chocolate and Red Velvet, Dark Chocolate and Perg Beige, or the same all-black suede interior with yellow stitching.
The front seats come with eight-way adjustment, four-way lumbar adjustment, electrically controlled thigh support extension, heating, ventilation, massage and memory functions. The driver’s seat also gets a dynamic bolster system.
Rear passengers get electric backrest angle adjustment, electrically controlled leg rests, heating, ventilation and massage functions. The rear bench also supports electric folding.
For infotainment, the Z9 GT comes with a 17.3-inch 2.5K centre display, a 13.2-inch 2.5K driver display and a 13.2-inch 2.5K co-pilot display. There is also a 50-inch augmented reality head-up display, a 9.1-inch high-resolution inside rear-view mirror and a 6-inch LCD screen for rear controls.
The system runs on a 3 nm high-power processor, according to Denza. Google is built in, including Google Maps and Google Play. The voice assistant supports multiple languages, including Bahasa Malaysia, and allows four-zone voice control.
Other cabin features include NFC and Bluetooth key access, cloud key access, three 50 W wireless chargers, multi-colour ambient lighting and a 20-speaker Devialet audio system. The car also comes with an in-car refrigerator with cooling from -6 to 6 degrees Celsius, heating from 35 to 50 degrees Celsius, 4 litres of capacity and space for six cans of soft drinks.
In terms of practicality, the Z9 GT offers a 495-litre rear boot and a 53-litre front trunk. Safety features highlighted by Denza include Cell-to-Body construction, nine airbags and a body structure using 90% high-strength steel.
The Z9 GT also comes with a six-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, six-year complimentary scheduled maintenance worth RM10,000, an eight-year or 160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty and an eight-year or 160,000 km drive unit warranty.
Also included is three-year complimentary Flash Charging, subject to terms and conditions. The first 99 Denza Z9 GT owners, upon successful vehicle registration, will also receive a complimentary pair of Denza x Devialet earbuds worth RM 2,000.
The Denza Z9 GT is now available for viewing and test drives at all Denza Premium showrooms nationwide. The list includes Denza Balakong, Denza Glenmarie, Denza KLCC, Denza KL North, Denza Old Klang Road, Denza Melaka, Denza Penang and Denza Skudai.
