Chery Malaysia celebrated the remarkable achievements of Malaysia’s Olympic bronze medallists by awarding the Tiggo7 Pro SUVs to badminton stars Aaron Chia, Soh Wooi Yik, and Lee Zii Jia. He noted that the athletes’ perseverance, grit, and determination throughout the Games inspired many, and the vehicles awarded reflected these same qualities. Yeoh expressed her gratitude to Chery for their support of the nation’s athletes and encouraged other private sector entities to follow suit in recognising the country’s sportsmen and women. “Sports is a unifying tool for Malaysia,” Yeoh remarked. “Chery’s gesture is special because they are celebrating all medal winners.”
The awarded Chery Tiggo7 Pro SUVs, valued at RM123,800, boast a range of features that are perfectly suited for the athletes’ active and demanding lifestyles. The five-seater SUV is powered by a 1.6L Turbocharged Petrol Direct Injection engine, generating 194HP and 290Nm of torque. Its 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) ensures smooth and efficient performance with a fuel consumption rate of 7.0L/100km. Advanced features such as the latest Advanced Driver Assistance System 2.5 (ADAS 2.5), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium Sony audio system are part of its modern design.
