Since 1990, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has accumulated RM6.53 billion in unresolved traffic offence summons. Of these, approximately 67 per cent, or 92,317,493 summonses worth RM8.56 billion, have been settled. The remaining 33 per cent, totalling 43,597,884 summonses, account for RM6.53 billion in outstanding fines.

This year alone, PDRM registered 4,307,956 summonses, valued at RM646,193,400, according to Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri’s statement at a press briefing held at the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department.
