Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has introduced the Spectre Lunaflair, a one-of-a-kind Bespoke creation designed for a distinguished client in the United States. The standout feature of this vehicle is its dazzling holographic paint finish, which creates a striking ‘rainbow’ effect, mimicking the beauty of a lunar halo. Achieving this finish was a year-long process, involving the meticulous application of seven layers of lacquer, including a pearlescent coat infused with fine flakes of magnesium fluoride and aluminium. This complex technique ensures the car exhibits a deep metallic glow in low light, while transforming into a vibrant technicolour display in direct sunlight.
The design concept behind Spectre Lunaflair was partly inspired by the Phantom Syntopia, another Bespoke masterpiece known for its iridescent Liquid Noir finish. However, Lunaflair takes a lighter, more luminous approach, capturing the essence of the lunar halo and delivering an entirely unique expression.
Inside, the Spectre Lunaflair features a luxurious, fully Bespoke interior with Navy Blue, White, and Peony Pink tones, representing the colours seen during a lunar halo. These shades are woven into the seats, doors, and the iconic Starlight Headliner, with the theme extending to the dual-tone steering wheel.
Only one Spectre Lunaflair will ever be produced, and the exclusive Lunaflair paint finish is reserved for the client, making this a truly unique and stunning commission in the Rolls-Royce legacy.
